Class of 2027 Girls' Piedmont Standout Midfielders and Attackers

<p>Continuing from the <a href="https://prepsoccer.com/2026/02/class-of-2027-girls-piedmont-region-standout-gks-and-defenders/?itm_source=parsely-api">previous article</a>, it's now time to look at the standout midfielders and attackers for the class of 2027. The players in this list come from both the <a href="https://prepsoccer.com/2026/01/best-of-girls-class-of-2027-northern-piedmont/">north</a> and <a href="https://prepsoccer.com/2026/01/best-of-girls-class-of-2027-southern-piedmont/">south</a> Piedmont regions.</p>   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Midfielders</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Julia rightfully ranks as the number one prospect for her class in the state. She not only has a repertoire of attributes that make her a useful player in the final third, she's also fantastic with each. One of her main and most crucial attributes is her versatility. She can play anywhere across the final third at a phenomenal level. Wherever the play asks her to be, she'll be there. Here, she dazzles with her skills and dribbling. She's shifty and quick, both mentally and physically. Any player who gets close to her is left behind looking silly. Her off-the-ball movement is superb as well. She gets into spaces undetected constantly. This allows her to get into crucial positions to score unimpeded. Her ballstriking is another fantastic attribute. The way she connects with the ball is unreal, getting the precise combination of strength and placement.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Madison is a very unique defensive midfielder. Her unique nature is the reason why I chose her as the standout player. Defensively, she does everything you can ask of a defensive midfielder. Relentless, strong, and determined, she bullies the opposition off the ball easily. Despite being shorter than the players she marks, she gets the better of them physically. Offensively, her uniqueness comes in. Her long shots are something you don't expect from a player like her. Though she can shoot with great power, most of her long shots are typically characterized by height and placement. This then translates to her being a dead-ball specialist. On freekicks and corners, she sends the ball into the box with great danger. Goalkeepers and defenders alike do not know how to defend her shots or crosses.</p>    <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Attackers</h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">Olivia is a very promising player who plays across the attack. However, her attributes, in my opinion, would make her a phenomenal striker. Specifically, a profile similar to your traditional poacher, just with better technique. To be a poacher, the positioning has to be on point. She fulfills that basic requirement perfectly. Her teammates know exactly where she is going to be when they play a pass into the box. The most evident and impressive attribute in her game is her headers. Defined by power and placement, she is an absolute aerial weapon. With her positioning, she gets clean opportunities to put the ball in the back of the net.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Alicia is a very talented player who can play as a winger on either side, a striker, and an attacking midfielder. She excels most as an attacker, though. Her finishing is far better than that of your average winger, and her dribbling and passing are much better than those of your average striker. Her goals don't tend to fall short of spectacular thanks to her shot power and composure. Assists follow the same pattern. In open space, as a general rule, she'll use her pace to burst past the defenders. If she's going to score, she'll drive the ball centrally once she gets the ball in space without the defenders getting close to her. If she's going to play a ball in, she'll give herself enough space and time to play in the pass as effectively as possible.</p>
