Class of 2027 Wilmington Hammerheads Girls’ Goalkeepers

Choosing only one to be the "standout" player would have been too cruel for the other two. When she deals with any type of shot, she always looks to claim it. You see it in any sort of situation, which makes her an extremely reliable keeper. She claims crosses, dives and catches, and comes off her line to collect the ball. Her bravery is exactly what caught my eye when watching her play. She has no issue at all coming off her line to get the ball. Whether it's going to ground to snatch the ball off the feet of the attacker or going into crowded areas to collect the ball, she shows no signs of fear. This mental fortitude, combined with her intelligence, makes her a brilliant presence in the back. She knows exactly when to move and what moves to make. She has all the essentials on lock for what a goalkeeper needs. Her awareness, diving, jumping, and save techniques are all too good to list individually. All of these fantastic attributes have taken her to represent the Philippines U17 national team on various occasions. I mentioned her intelligence as her main attribute, and it's evident when you see her play. Whenever she comes into possession of the ball, she scans the field in a way you typically associate with midfielders. Besides her phenomenal goalkeeping, this sort of in-possession awareness makes her an important weapon in building out from the back.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
