She had a very strong performance in their first match in Dallas, a 3-0 win over Eastside FC, helping the team earn a clean sheet. Dashnaw played on the right side of their back three and was excellent there, benefiting from her great positioning to always be close to the action and moving very quickly when she had to step and close down the space of opponents. The center back was also very efficient in possession, connecting nice passes out of the back and having the confidence to step into the attacking half to support the offense in a more significant way.

Coates was part of the Sporting Blue Valley team that returned home undefeated with a win and a tie. The team started its campaign with a 1-1 tie against Sting Black and the center back was one of their standouts, delivering a solid performance in the backline. A right-sided center back, Coates showed an interesting well-rounded game, using her physical tools very efficiently to win duels, but also proving to be mobile enough to chase attackers out wide and higher up on the field while keeping them under pressure. The defender did well on the ball, too, connecting long passes out of the back.

Henning and her [program_tooltip program_id='283311' first='Dallas' last='Texans'] teammates had a great weekend in the event, getting back-to-back wins and not allowing any goals. With the defender in great form, they dominated FSA FC to a 4-0 victory in their first match. Playing as a left-side center back, Henning was very good at winning duels despite not being very tall and thrived with her positioning, popping up to cover her teammates and stop what could have been dangerous shots from opponents. She also delivered in possession, passing the ball efficiently and not hesitating in pushing it forward when she had an open field in front of her.

Wong played for DKSC, and the team had a difficult weekend, getting a pair of losses in Dallas. Her team leaked two goals in a 2-0 loss to SLSG Green, but she did a good job defending her zone. Wong played as a left-sided center back and stood out for her mobility. She was very quick to move for the ball and came out of nowhere to intercept passes and dispossess opponents. That also helped when she needed to defend out wide, as she managed to keep opposing wingers under pressure and tracked them down all the way to the end line, getting to block a couple of crosses.

With Daniel in the backline, SLSG Navy secured a win and two losses over the weekend in Texas. She was very good in their only victory, a 2-1 triumph over [program_tooltip program_id='283282' first='Challenge' last='SC'], leading their defensive efforts. Daniel spent most of the match playing as a left-sided center back and was excellent with her positioning, stepping up to clear many long passes with headers and being very firm and timely with her tackles. She was then moved to center forward and showed nice quality playing up top, too, working well with her back to the goal and making nice runs behind the backline.

DeWolf was a center back with [program_tooltip program_id='283282' first='Challenge' last='SC']. I got to watch her team in a 2-1 loss to SLSG Navy in which she stood out as the most reliable player in their backline. Playing as a left-sided center back, she used her superior positioning to always be on the right spot to make plays, denying what could have been dangerous attacking plays in her zone. Her team had a difficult second match in the event, losing 3-0 to [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas'], but the center back still had a solid shift. Combining good technique, nice mobility and interesting physical skills, she played on both sides of the team's back three and made some good defensive actions, stepping up to stop attacking plays.
