Prep Soccer returned to Toyota Soccer Center, in Frisco, for the last day of matches, and followed mostly duels in the 2010 age group. Here are the players who left a strong impression in the matches we got to watch:

An attacking midfielder, Teofilo played a key role in XF Academy's strong offensive performance against FC Wisconsin. The team from Washington had the ball in the attacking half for most of the time and consistently looked for their No. 10, who operated intelligently to facilitate plays for them. Teofilo found good pockets of space to get on the ball and distributed it intelligently, while also attempting shots on target when closer to the penalty box. The midfielder also made some runs on the ball, pushing to get to the end line, especially on the right side of the offense.

Gannon scored the game-winning goal for Solar and stood out with a combination of class and intensity in midfield for them. She was very active and productive offensively, finding intelligent passes behind the backline and being aggressive with how she progressed the ball in the attacking half with direct runs. Gannon competed for possession with great intensity, fighting for the ball and helping her team overload the center of the field. She was very smart to score her goal, making a strong run for the ball after a low corner kick and using the outside of her right foot to deflect it and beat the Raptors' goalkeeper.

Lopez was excellent at left back for Sting Black, putting on a great performance on both sides of the ball. She did well defensively in keeping up with NC Courage's pacey wingers out wide, winning duels and blocking their crosses. Lopez also worked very well on the ball, connecting long passes out of the back and engaging in good combination plays in the attacking half. Lopez was very smart in getting the assist to the team's first goal, staying open on the wing after a free kick in the center of the field and delivering an accurate low cross that found forward [player_tooltip player_id='317737' first='Cynthia' last='Rios'] almost between the posts.

Webb led the line for Kansas City Athletics in their victory against [program_tooltip program_id='283282' first='Challenge' last='SC']. A hard-working, high-intensity forward, she kept the opposing backline under constant pressure with her ability to make runs in behind and her constant press. She was very intelligent when scoring the team's first goal, intercepting a pass from the goalkeeper and sending the ball into the back of the net with a powerful shot in the upper corner. Webb diversified her movement off the ball, at times appearing on the wings and showing quality and pace to beat opponents off the dribble.

Knapp put on a solid shift in midfield for [program_tooltip program_id='283296' first='Classics' last='Elite'], giving the team a great deal of balance and consistency in a key area of the field. She was very active defensively, doing a good job of shielding the team's backline with well-timed tackles and smart positioning. Knapp was arguably even more important in possession, as the ball always seemed to find her, and even when surrounded by multiple defenders, she still found ways to get it to her teammates. The midfielder distributed the ball well, finding the wide players in good spots and connecting long passes to the forwards.

Harrington was huge for [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas'], taking charge of the game when her team was down a player and leading them to get the equalizer against SLSG. The midfielder pulled the strings in their offense and did a great job of always being available and finding ways to create chances against a defensively solid team. Harrington used her big frame to shield the ball and make turns on opponents and passed the ball extremely well. She also drifted to both wings and was very aggressive and resourceful when going at defenders to beat them off the dribble.

Dimnaku had a big impact on FC Stars' victory against Albion from her center midfielder spot, getting involved in both their goals. She made an incredible play in the first one, winning the ball in her own half and driving it forward to only stop with it in the back of the net. Dimnaku took the corner kick that resulted in the second goal and also did well in other dead-ball situations. She was very active in the center of the field, playing with good intensity, popping up in the right spots to make defensive plays, and taking great care of the ball.
