id2 National Training Camp: Standouts Eyeing International Stage

The identification event is the prelude to the roster for the international tour, which has been a platform for a number of current US National Team players. He's been on trial with MLS academies in the past and will continue to get looks for those clubs. Clark's ability to break down the defense off the dribble thanks to his pace and skill is an elite quality. His ball control with either foot is also a key attribute of his game. He is one of the best finishers in this group with his left foot. He does well in checking his shoulders before receiving the ball. Gold's best asset comes in ball retention. Defenders seem to bounce off of him with his size and strength. Ladd is a constant threat to score. He glides past defenders with his elusive skill on the ball and ability to cut at sharp angles. He has the speed to get behind the defense at any moment. He also has the lung capacity to make the full field runs to impact the game at any spot. Paine's defensive instincts are the best I've seen from anyone in this group.
