Texas HS: Felczaks on fire as Seven Lakes beat undeafeated Jordan

For another season, Prep Soccer Texas continues to follow the action closely as it unfolds in the Houston area, attending multiple matches a week and providing the best coverage in the state, with Photo Galleries, Match Reports and Social Media posts that will help increase the exposure of teams and players in the Lone Star State.   On Tuesday, February 24, we attended the big District 19 match reuniting perennial contenders Seven Lakes Spartans and undefeated district leaders Jordan Warriors. Playing at home, Seven Lakes put on a strong performance on both sides of the ball to secure a 3-0 win and hand their rivals their first upset in district play this season.   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li>Seven Lakes vs. Jordan - <a href="https://prepsoccer.com/2026/02/texas-hs-seven-lakes-vs-jordan-photos/">Photos</a> </li> </ul>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram wp-block-embed-instagram"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://www.instagram.com/p/DVKtBQhjsYM/ </div></figure>   Freshman forward [player_tooltip player_id='295171' first='Milena' last='Felczak'] scored the first goal for the Spartans in the 17th minute, beating a defender for the ball to get on the end of a cross from the right and deflect the ball into the back of the net. Her twin sister and midfielder [player_tooltip player_id='295170' first='Anya' last='Felczak'] doubled Seven Lakes' lead in the 35th minute, dribbling the ball inside from the right and firing a powerful left-footed shot.   Senior midfielder [player_tooltip player_id='334009' first='Anuhea' last='Aalona'] sealed the deal for the Spartans in the 12th minute of the second half, after she got on the ball outside the box and found the upper corner with a beautiful left-footed shot.   <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Players of the Match</h2>    The freshman was excellent for the Spartans, being one of their main attacking options and paving the way for their victory with a nice goal. Felczak spent time on both wings, but in fact was everywhere in the attacking half, moving very well to get on the ball and consistently making dangerous plays, either by beating opponents off the dribble or combining with her teammates. The winger was excellent in the play in which she scored her team's first goal, getting inside the box to get on the end of a cross and using her quickness to beat a defender for the ball. Felczak played left back during part of the second half and did well offensively while also holding her own on the defensive side of the game.    <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepsoccer.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/8/2026/02/2J4A0044_19108a.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-351120" /></figure>    Playing as an attacking midfielder, the senior was Seven Lakes' main playmaker, getting involved in most of their offensive plays. Aalona was very active with her movement, doing a great job of finding the ball in the final third and taking great care of it. She was very creative and aggressive with her dribbling and distributed the ball intelligently. The senior fired some good shots on target and scored the team's third goal with a left-footed banger. Aalona was also very intense when playing defense and fighting for the ball and was her team's most vocal leader on the field.    <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepsoccer.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/8/2026/02/2J4A0074_c92631.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-351132" /></figure>    The freshman was the engine of Seven Lakes' midfield, bringing quality and intensity on both sides of the ball. Felczak played more centrally and was very good at progressing the ball with direct runs, showing excellent ball control to beat defenders as she earned yards. She concluded one of those runs with a beautiful left-footed shot from the edge of the box to score the Spartans' second goal in the match. Felczak also showed great energy and determination to play defense, winning duels in the center of the field, and, at times, dropping all the way back into her own penalty box.    <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepsoccer.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/8/2026/02/2J4A0073_94e592.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-351131" /></figure>    The sophomore was one of the pillars of Seven Lakes' defensive system, playing different roles in the backline with great efficiency. Petrino began the match on the right side of their back three and stood out with her positioning, which helped her step into the right spots to challenge opponents. She also played on both outside back spots when the Spartans moved to a back four and continued to deliver offensively, showing great ability to win 1v1 duels out wide and to press opponents in their own half. Petrino also worked well in the attacking half and initiated the play that ended in her team's third goal on the right side of their offense.    <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepsoccer.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/8/2026/02/2J4A0091_2a5bf4.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-351140" /></figure>    The senior anchored Seven Lakes' defense to earn a clean sheet against a strong Jordan offense. Playing in the center of their back three, Labay was excellent with her positioning, making key defensive stops around the penalty box and stepping up to support her teammates. The center back was dominant in the air, managing to clear many crosses in the penalty box and intercept long passes. Labay also did well in possession, quickly moving the ball from one side of the field to the other with good accuracy.    <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepsoccer.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/8/2026/02/2J4A0087_07b339.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-351138" /></figure>    The junior defender did a good job in a difficult night for Jordan. Playing as a right back, Mack was tasked with defending many different players during the match and did well against each of them, controlling her zone with her physical and intense game. She was very good at keeping opponents under pressure and none of Seven Lakes' goals originated in plays in her area of the field. Mack didn't step into the attacking half very often, but sent some throw-ins into the box, helping her team challenge the opposing backline.    <figure class="wp-block-image size-large"><img src="https://prepsoccer.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/8/2026/02/2J4A0101.jpg?w=1024" alt="" class="wp-image-351144" /></figure>    The freshman had a solid two-way performance, standing out as one of Jordan's best players in the match. Thomas played on the right side of their midfield and was one of a few players on the Warriors' side to make good plays in the attacking half. She found the space to make good runs behind the backline on some occasions and attempted a few shots on target, forcing the opposing goalkeeper into making a save in one of them.
