Five Goalies to Know from the Updated Texas 2028 Boys Rankings

<p>After some months, the Prep Soccer 2028 Texas Boys State Ranking was updated earlier this week, with new players being added to the prestigious list that features only the best of the best in the Lone Star State and the existing ones having their positions adjusted.</p>   <p>The ranking will continue to be consistently updated so it accurately reflects the progress achieved by players over time and presents a clear picture of the Texas landscape, always having in mind each prospect's potential to make an impact at the next level.</p>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li><strong><a href="https://prepsoccer.com/texas/rankings/boys/2028-rankings/">Texas 2028 Boys State Rankings</a></strong></li> </ul>   <p>The updated Texas 2028 Boys State Rankings now feature 98 players from every corner of the Lone Star State, and we're taking the week to present you with some of the most intriguing names that made the list.</p>   <p>We start with the goalkeepers:</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Rossetti plays for the [program_tooltip program_id='283657' first='Houston' last='Dynamo'] U16 team in the MLS Next League. He's the top-ranked goalkeeper in the class and ranks 14th overall. Tall and quick with his movement, he's very agile and reliable between the posts, handling shots with confidence and efficiency. Rossetti has become more effective at claiming crosses inside the box and is very hard to score in 1v1 situations because of how well he times his movement forward and uses his arms and legs to expand his range. He appears in second place among the goalkeepers and occupies spot 22 in the class. Salas' athleticism and agility are his calling cards and give him the ability to make impressive stops between the posts, getting to difficult shots in the upper corner. He's fourth among the goalkeepers and 41st overall in the updated Rankings. A frequent member of the Olympic Development Program (ODP) team, he is very technical and consistent, always performing well between the posts for them. One of Ledford's main strenghts in his mental toughness, which keeps him alert to perform routine saves and gives him an extra kick to go and handle difficult shots. He ranked sixth among the players in the position and appeared in 58th place overall in the class. Vastly recognized as one of the league's top goalkeepers in the age group at the national level, he's very solid and consistent between the posts, standing out for his positioning and coming up with big saves from time to time. The most eye-catching aspect of his play, however, is his game on the ball, which is absolutely elite. He was ranked tenth among the goalkeepers and 74th overall in the class in Texas. Butley's excellent positioning and his ability to read plays make a big impact in his play between the posts, keeping him one step ahead when plays are unfolding inside and around the penalty box.
