New York 2028 Rankings Updated: 9 Players to Know

The Prep Soccer player rankings for the New York 2028 class were updated this week. Neal is a center forward on the [program_tooltip program_id='276495' first='Syracuse' last='DA'] 2010 GA team. She is listed as five-foot-five on her player profile, but she looks taller on the field from recent games. She has the physical profile to be a No. 9 at the college level. [program_tooltip program_id='276495' first='Syracuse' last='DA'] has been an excellent club at developing attacking talent and the 2009 GA team had a number of early commits to top programs. Neal has the potential to be the next breakout star from that club.   She has been part of US Soccer and Gotham FC talent events in the past. She's a right-footed, plays with power and strength, and is very competitive. Neal has high-level potential and should be the radar for top programs in the Northeast.     Robbins-Pianka is our No. 2 goalkeeper in the class and a riser in this ranking update. The ODP National Team shot-stopper is a recent addition to the ECNL. She previously played for Downtown United SC.   Robbins-Pianka is a dependable player who has emerged as a key player for her club side. She can make any stop and shows a fearless nature. She's got a well-rounded game. She could emerge as the top talent in her position in this class - and probably has quite a few scouts who already view her as such.     Lamberti is a defensive midfielder on the NYSC 2010 GA team. She plays with her head up and connects passes between the lines. There are a lot of aspects of her game to appreciate. Her decision-making on the ball and her ability to read the opposition with her tactical intelligence are bright spots - and certainly appear often in her highlights. The effort and her commitment defensively are also worth attention. She is a committed teammate who always makes the play to help her team win.     Wider is a captain of the Long Island 2010 GA team. She is also part of the Gotham FC Development Team. Wider has an excellent first touch, uses her body well to hold off defenders, and does well in progressing the ball up the field off the dribble.   She has been a standout at the club and high school level. She's also been a star on the Futsal court.     [player_tooltip player_id='110787' first='Grace' last='Cullingford'] is a midfielder on the SUSA 2010. She was an All Conference selection for her high school team this past year. She's been an All Conference honoree for ECNL in the past. She has been part of the Gotham FC training in the past. Cullingford is an a midfielder with a well rounded game. She's the engine for her team and covers a ton of ground in the game. She does well in progressing the ball up the field. She is a dependable player who can contribute in a variety of ways to the success of her squad.     Abella is a new addition to the New York rankings. She joined the World Class 09 ECNL team this season. She previously played for PDA. Abella is a center forward who relies on her skill and speed. She's great in the hold-up play. She can play with her back to the goal. She has traits to suggest she will be an elite weapon in the press. She can defend with tenacity and competitiveness.     Huerta is an attacking midfielder for World Class 2010 ECNL. She can play as a winger as well. Huerta is at her best when she operates through the center of the field. She is a playmaker on the ball. She is an excellent passer who is great at progressing the ball up the field and picking out the runs into space. Huerta has been excellent for World Class during recent ECNL events.     Pothos is a center forward on the World Class 2010 ECNL team. She can play 1v2 and often times is left in stations where she has to beat multiple defenders at the ECNL level. She does well in creating chances on her own. She can stretch the defense with her pace - and punish the mistakes of the defense with her defensive pressure. Pathos has the traits to be an elite No. 9 for the next level.     Hinds is a new name to the ranking, and the top ranked goalkeeper in the state. The five-foot-10 goalkeeper from [program_tooltip program_id='283528' first='WNY' last='Flash'] has been excellent this season in the ECNL. She has the tall frame and long wingspan to cover the whole goal. She also has quick reflexes and strong hands. She's an excellent shot-stopper with the potential to be a top level prospect in goal.
