Miami got things started inside the first minute of action, after forward Derek Delgado got a pass behind the backline and fired a low-driven shot into the back of the net. Austin leveled the score three minutes later, with forward [player_tooltip player_id='349826' first='Luke' last='Garcia'] making a play on the right and scoring. Miami regained control in the 24th minute, after Mohammed Jamhour won the ball in the attacking half and passed it to fellow midfielder Nicolas Pineros, who scored with a shot from the edge of the penalty box. In the 35th minute, Jamhour and Pineiros combined through the middle and the ball fell to forward Tomas Stanham, who buried it. The visiting team got another one before the halftime break, scoring in the 42nd minute, after forward [player_tooltip player_id='350802' first='Diego' last='Martinez'] crossed from the right and Delgado headed it home.

Stanham got his second goal in the match in the 15th minute of the second half, getting a pass from Pineiros and firing a powerful close-range shot. Nine minutes later, Jamhour got a rebound just outside the box, drove the ball inside of it and fired a low-driven shot. Austin got one back four minutes later, after forward [player_tooltip player_id='349082' first='Rocco' last='Viana'] won a duel inside the box and midfielder [player_tooltip player_id='349224' first='Erick' last='Feliciano'] picked the ball up and scored. Martinez scored Miami's seventh and last goal in the match in the 31st minute, after Martinez engaged in a combination play on the right and saw his shot deflect off a defender and go in.

Playing as a left winger, Delgado was a constant threat to Austin's backline and played a key role in Miami's victory with two goals. A highly technical attacking player, he was very efficient when dribbling in tight spaces and repeatedly beat his marker 1v1 to take the ball inside the box and make plays. Delgado also showed a nice goalscoring instinct, coming inside the box to finish chances, and solid finishing skills. He did well when combining with his teammates out wide and also provided valuable defensive support by dropping back and helping close the space on the left side.

Stanham scored a brace and thrived as the focal point of Miami's offense. The forward was excellent inside the box, winning most duels with Austin's defenders and benefiting from his positioning to score twice. Stanham also showed nice quality on the ball when he dropped back to get involved in the team's playmaking, finding teammates in good spots out wide with accurate first-time passes. The forward was very intense with his press and made it difficult for Austin's defenders to build out of the back.

Jamhour was the engine of Miami's midfield and crowned an excellent performance with one of the team's seven goals. He got on the ball a lot in the center of the field and was excellent with his distribution, quickly switching the point of attack and finding teammates open. Jamhour also made an offensive impact with his runs on the ball through the middle, in which he showed excellent vision to attack the space and the ability to quickly switch directions in crowded areas. The midfielder fired a nice, low-driven shot to score his goal, showing solid finishing skills, too.

Torres led Miami's backline with class and authority. The right-sided center back was very solid defensively, using his excellent positioning to make stops and showing good mobility to defend in space. With his team dominating possession, Torres also added a lot to their chance-creation efforts. The defender excelled with his passing, finding teammates with long balls out of the back, and also made some impressive runs on the ball, dribbling multiple opponents before releasing it at the right time to his teammates.

Seyhoon stood out in Austin's disappointing performance with his consistent game in midfield. Despite the team's struggles, he didn't make too many mistakes and kept his level of play constant throughout the match. He was used in a box-to-box role in the first half and did a good job of supporting the team's offense and making plays on the left. Seyhoon moved to defensive midfielder for the final 45 minutes and managed to support the team's buildup, helping break Miami's press with his passing.

Despite playing one age group up, Ramos held his own for most of the time and wasn't to blame at all for Austin's defensive struggles. He spent time on both outside back spots and had interesting duels with Miami's wingers, winning some and losing some. Ramos also showed nice quality and confidence on the ball, driving it forward with runs through the middle and finding passes between the lines that helped alleviate Miami's press.
