Ohio 2028 Rankings Update: 6 New Names Scouts Must Know

The Prep Soccer state rankings for Ohio's 2028 class will be updated this week. Prior to the release of the new rankings, check out a scouting report on six new players to the rankings who are impressing scouts for their play at the club level. Below is a rundown of those players to know and why they should be on the radar for college scouts prior to June 15.    Midfielder Cleveland Force 2010 ECNL    US Soccer Talent ID Events    Smart, Competitive, Athletic    Dudek is a defensive midfielder on the Cleveland Force 2010 ECNL team. She's been excellent this season for her club side. She's playing at an All-Conference level. Her impact for her team is obvious from the opening whistle. She dictates the game with her positioning, passing, and vocal leadership. She's quick to make decisions, eager to get in the tackle, and has a good first touch. Dudek is one of the top ranked new players to the Ohio rankings with this update. She's an impactful player now at the highest level of the club game, and has a ton of potential to even better in the future.        Center back for [program_tooltip program_id='283388' first='Kings' last='Hammer'] 2010 GA    USLW - Dayton Dutch Lions    Six-feet tall, any position, college ready    Fontenot is a rare prospect in this class due to her height, athleticism, and readiness for the next level. The Ohio 2028 class has a number of brilliant stars, but very few athletic prospects who jump off the screen with game film. Fontenot fits the bill as a player who looks like a college player already and still has quite a bit of time at the club game ahead. She is a center back with a previous history as a dominant center forward. There's a path to her being an impact player in either role.      Attacking Midfielder for [program_tooltip program_id='281354' first='GTFC' last='Impact'] ECNL 2010    Fast   Powerful shot    Spencer can play a variety of spots on the field, but she's shined as an attacking midfielder for GTFC 2010 ECNL during the ECNL Events this season. She's got quick feet and dynamic change of pace. She springs past defenders with her first step and she's always looking to create chances for her side. She has a powerful shot and can get it off even under pressure of a defender. She can also play on the wing and has the skill in 1v1 situations to consistently win the duel on the wing.      Forward for CUP Gold 2010 GA    Difference-maker in the final third    Powerful dribbler    Lee is a winger on the CUP 2010 GA team. She can also play as a center forward. She's at her best on the wing when she can match-up in 1v1 situations against outside backs. She's got a variety of ways to win those isolated duels. She's diligent in her defensive duties as consistently wins the ball for her side when she's tracking back for the 50/50 duel. Lee has two-way quality that makes her a standout at the Girls Academy level.      Midfielder for [program_tooltip program_id='283302' first='Columbus' last='United'] 2010 GA    Winner    Smullen is a box-to-box midfielder for the [program_tooltip program_id='283302' first='Columbus' last='United'] 2010 GA team. She's been a winner at every stage of her soccer career. She won a National Championship at the U13 level in the past. She won a state championship for her high school team. She recently had a game-winner for her club team at the Girls Academy level. There is something to be said about the competitiveness of her and her leadership qualities that her team just always seems to win. There is some versatility to her game, and the future could see her as a right back. She's got an excellent right foot and takes some free kicks for her side. She can hit a terrific cross. Smullen is a player who can lift the ceiling of a program immediately.      Left back for [program_tooltip program_id='281354' first='GTFC' last='Impact'] ECNL 2010    Never quits    Good two-way player    Schwind impressed from ECNL events this season. She plays left back, she's right footed. She can also feature at center back. Schwind has all the tools to be an elite outside back. She's good impressive recovery pace. She moves her feet well in the duel. Her competitive desire keeps her involved in the play, and she's always looking for ways to support her teammate. She can be eager to jump into the attack and start the counter. Her physical presence on the wing helps her side create an advantage down the wing. She's a player who should be getting extended looks at ID camps this summer.
