The BVAL (Blossom Valley Athletic League) produced some talented players on both the high school and club levels. Starting with [player_tooltip player_id='146242' first='Allison' last='Park'], the MVP of the league who also won the ECNL national player of the year award in August 2025. While receiving ECNL All-American honors and the Northern Cal All-Conference First Team, her contributions to her MVLA team's national championship run are another notch on her belt.

I've covered her matches at both the club and high school levels, and at each venue, she constantly stands out as one of the best players on the pitch. The Illinois commit is poised to help her highly ranked MVLA team make another run at a natty as well as possibly compete for a CCS (Central Coast Section) title next season. The Leland Chargers came in 2nd place in league play and had an overall 13-3-3 record.

The three Chargers first-team all-stars are [player_tooltip player_id='287544' first='Kailani' last='Bock'], Kelsey Lulenski, and Rylan Hickey. All three players contributed on the defensive side to limit goals conceded to only 14 in 20 matches. Pretty impressive stats, as this division is the highest of the three divisions—Mt. Hamilton League.

Next up are the Senior of the Year, Lilly Murphy, and Sophomore of the Year, [player_tooltip player_id='333470' first='Kylee' last='Fore'], of Branham High School. Murphy was one of only a few seniors to boast playing all four years on a varsity team. She compiled over 5960 goalkeeper minutes with a GAA of 1.034 with 404 saves. Kylee is a player I've covered multiple times at the ECNL level. Known for her ability to score goals while applying high pressure and finding open pockets. Ciara Kroum-Bruno is a sophomore first-team all-star from Branham.

Leigh High School had the Junior of the Year, [player_tooltip player_id='187350' first='Kaya' last='Schaefer'], and first-team All-Stars: Malia Kakes, Eliana Gonzales, and [player_tooltip player_id='275918' first='Ava' last='Perez']. At first it didn't seem like the Leigh Longhorns would go back-to-back as league champs due to their star player Maggie Currie not being suited up this season due to an injury sustained in a USYNT CONCACAF match in the summer. Yet, the awesome coaching and the ability for the team to play as a cohesive unit got coach Nick Hatzke and Leigh High School another league title while going 12-1-1 in league and 14-4-2 overall.

The Freshman of the Year award went to [player_tooltip player_id='357781' first='Hayden' last='Casey'] of Pioneer High School. The first team members are Ella Overhulse and Addison Subala. Overhulse played 3 years on the varsity squad while posting 19 goals and 7 assists. She has committed to playing at CSU Monterey Bay. I've evaluated Addison in both club and high school competition. She has always played with poise and control. Handling the ball under pressure is also one of her key strengths as well as creating scoring opportunities in the attacking third. The Philippine Youth National U-17 player is making a name for herself on the international level, and she will help the Mustangs make a run at the title next season.

The Goalie of the Year Award goes to Westmont's Tatiana Musgrove. The senior goalkeeper is ranked #111 in the nation, #39 in CA, and #5 in position for the class of 2026. I've previously covered her in ECNL matches, and at every event she was stellar. In my previous evaluation, the San Jose State commit made multiple stops in the second half on a surging Mustang SC offense. She was fearless in taking on forwards in 1v1s, and she showed her range in going up high and laterally. She is one of the best ECNL G08 goalkeepers with recent recognition. I look forward to seeing some San Jose State matches and seeing her on the pitch.

Piedmont High School contributed two players, [player_tooltip player_id='146356' first='Sophia' last='Norton']—a Cincinnati commit—and Jaslene Valencia—a recent West Valley College commit. Valencia is a goal scorer who can make strong runs on goal and cause havoc in the attacking third. Strengths are in speed and shots from range. The BVAL site misspelled her name as Jasmine.

Norton is a prep soccer rankings riser. I've evaluated her at both the ECNL and high school levels. She always seems to have the ball at her feet. Sophia is great at distributing the ball in tight spaces; she can hit players in stride and shake defenders off her hip. Scanning is one of her strengths, as she's always finding players in open pockets, and her ability to play as a box-to-box player can be attributed to her fitness. She's a player with a high soccer IQ and someone USYNT scouts should take a look at.

Finally, Westmont High School had Averi Halbert, and Christopher High School had Malia Harding as their first-team all-stars. Harding is a speedy forward who ended her high school career with 23 goals and 17 assists.
