Girls Academy – Opening Day 2012 Standouts

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>NORCO, California - The Girls Academy Playoffs kicked off from Silverlakes in Southern California. The cloudy morning gave way to a warm afternoon to sunny sky. The bright sunshine revealed some terrific talents from one of the youngest age groups in action on Thursday. The 2012 age group is just starting to appear in the scouting efforts. Some of the players who played on Thursday were recently part of the US Soccer U14 Girls National Team National Camp. She had a difficult matchup and she handled it well. She was also the catalyst for an attack with her dribbling skills and passing. She switched from right back to left back in the second half. The aspect that impressed me the most was her footwork. She had excellent distribution and showed good technique. She is powerful on the ball and can take on players with ease.
