Six Competitive Stars Emerging from Colorado's 2028 Class

Kelly is a midfielder on the [program_tooltip program_id='283723' first='Real' last='Colorado'] 2010 ECNL squad. She is right footed, physically imposing, and prolific on set pieces. Kelly has been a key player for her club team for some time. She's an easy standout in the center of the field for her two-way play. She is eager to get into the tackle and quick to spring the attack. She's confident on the ball and willing to take a shot from distance. Her delivery on corner kicks is among the best in this class. She's capable of pulling off an Olimpico just as frequently as putting up a picture-perfect assist for a teammate.   Kelly has the tenacious approach that should fit in well at the next level. She plays outside back for her club team. She's a two-way player who is excellent on the ball. She can rip a shot with her right foot and has the quality to take free kicks as well. She has the physical frame and athleticism to handle the game at the top college level.   Clark has been impressive for her club team with her ability to dominate one side of the field and physically impose herself in the duel. She's got the technique to be a top level outside back.     Hollingsworth is a defender on the [program_tooltip program_id='281862' first='Broomfield' last=''] 2010 Girls Academy team. She's been part of the Girls Academy Talent ID events in the past. She plays left center back for her club team. She is listed at five-foot-nine on her player profile. She appears and plays taller on the field. She is a towering figure along the backline.   She moves well and covers ground with ease. She is a smart player and often stands out for her ability read the game and be in the right spots to intercept passes. Hollingsworth was outstanding at the end of the Girls Academy season for her club season. Her passing was exceptional in the win over Las Vegas Sports Academy. She had an assist in that game to go along with her own goal.   She's got all the tools to be a top-tier center back for a long time.     Zapotocky is a defensive midfielder on the [program_tooltip program_id='283635' first='Colorado' last='Rapids'] 2010 ECNL team. She can play in a box-to-box midfield role as well. She stands out from game film for her quality on the ball. She plays with her head up and quickly scans for options. She is great about checking her shoulders before receiving the ball. She values retaining possession of the ball and often makes the decision that helps her team keep the ball for longer stretches.   While her skill on the ball certainly stands out, she is a strong defender. She will get into the duel and shows excellent technique in using her body to cleanly win possession of the ball. She has the tackling and relentless attitude to shine in the defensive midfield role.     [player_tooltip player_id='378765' first='Paige' last='LaPoint'] is a five-foot-10 midfielder from the [program_tooltip program_id='283723' first='Real' last='Colorado'] Athletico 09 ECNL team. She is versatile and can play on the wing or center back as well. She is a starter on a team with a number of Division 1 commits from the 2027 class.   LaPoint's unstoppable engine, versatility, and competitive nature shine from game film. She is a player who always wants to be on the field. She is often making full-field runs to help her teammates. She is truly a two-way player with the tactical knowledge to shine in a number of different roles. LaPoint's athleticism and physical traits stand out from this class. Her soccer smarts is why she is highly regarded recruit.     [player_tooltip player_id='378974' first='Kensley' last='Dang'] is a defneder on the [program_tooltip program_id='283635' first='Colorado' last='Rapids'] 2010 ECNL team. She can play outside back or center back. She's been getting experience playing with Glacier FC in the WPSL this season.   Dang comes from an athletic family with siblings play college volleyball. She is a fully committed soccer player and that competitive drive shines on the field. She loves the challenge of being matched up 1v1 on the wing with an attacking player. She will be physical and make sure the opposition knows she is there. There is no quiet setting to her game.   I think Dang's future is at outside back, but she's put up good game film in the center back role with her club team this season. She's comfortable on the ball and can break pressure. She's good at progressing the ball up the field off the dribble.   Dang is a top defender for her competitiveness, comfort on the ball, and ability to play any spot along the backline.
