The ECNL Boys League is set to go through a decisive moment in the next few days, as the playoffs will take place in Del Mar, California, from June 25 to July 2.

The event is set to reunite 344 teams from all over the country at Surf Sports Park, as the best regular-season teams from each conference will make the trip to the West Coast to play in matches that will determine the outcome of their campaigns.

Competition from the U13 to the U17 age groups will start with 66 teams (48 for the U13s), and only four in each group will qualify for the ECNL Finals, which will take place in Richmond, Virginia, from July 17-19. For the U19 age group, the field is limited to 32 contenders and the definition of the league champions will happen in Del Mar.

Texas will be largely represented in the event, with as many as 42 teams hailing from the Lone Star State to compete in the playoffs over the next few days. Some of the top players in the Lone Star State will be in action in the event, and we'll feature some of them in the days leading up to it.

Chapa plays for the Rise SC B11 team that will face Alabama FC, NCFC Youth Academy and XF Academy in Group K. A right back, he's an important offensive weapon for them, consistently pushing forward and helping his team stretch the field. Chapa is very quick and direct with his movement and has the energy to run the field up and down during the entire time. He's capable of making plays out wide and taking the ball to the end line, but also likes to come inside to finish chances with shots from outside the box or by getting into it to get to the end of crosses.

Otalvaro and his [program_tooltip program_id='283243' first='Albion' last='Hurricanes FC'] B10 team will play Utah Avalanche, Ohio Premier and FC Wisconsin in Pool H. A versatile defender, he can be used at the right back spot or in central defense. Otalvaro is very strong in 1v1 duels, combining the mobility needed to track pacey wingers out wide and the impeccable timing needed to make stops in more critical areas, like the penalty box. He doesn't make runs down the line very often when playing right back, but has good passing vision and supports the offense by coming inside and helping his team move the ball.

Joy will feature for the HTX B09 team that will play the Rockford Raptors FC, the NW Rapids SC and Beach FC in Group N. An outside back with solid physical tools and a great deal of determination, he's more commonly used on the right side of the team's backline. Joy delivers great intensity out there, showing impressive energy to support the offense and play defense. He's a consistent option out wide with his overlap runs and is also capable of delivering accurate passes in the final third. The outside back also thrives defensively, coming out on top in most duels he gets into and doing a good job with his positioning.

Moreira is part of the [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas'] Red 07/08 team that will face Mustang SC in the first round of the playoffs. A very technical player, he can play as a right back, a center back or in the midfield for them. Moreira is very stable and reliable with his game, delivering solid production on both sides of the ball. When in possession, he can push forward and combine with his teammates in the attacking half, or drop back and be a part of the team's buildup. He does well defensively, too, and is particularly good at intercepting long passes in the air.

Potter is part of the [program_tooltip program_id='283311' first='Dallas' last='Texans'] Academy 07/08 team that will face Ohio Premier in the first round of the playoffs in California. He can play as an outside back (mostly on the left) or in central defense. Potter's six-foot frame gives him an advantage over most opposing forwards in physical duels, but she shows way more than that when playing defense, using his pace and well-timed tackles to stop opponents inside and outside the box. He's also capable of contributing offensively with his pace, creative dribbling and excellent movement off the ball.
