5 Midfielders to Know From the Updated Texas 2029 Girls Rankings

<p>The ranking will continue to be consistently updated so it accurately reflects the progress achieved by players over time and presents a clear picture of the Texas landscape, always keeping in mind each prospect's potential to make an impact at the next level.</p>   <p>After some months, the Prep Soccer 2029 Texas Girls State Ranking was updated earlier this week, with new players being added to the prestigious list that features only the best of the best in the Lone Star State and the existing ones having their positions adjusted ahead of the start of the 2026-2027 club season.</p>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li><strong><a href="https://prepsoccer.com/texas/rankings/girls/2029-rankings/">Texas 2029 Girls State Rankings</a></strong></li> </ul>   <p>The updated Texas 2029 Girls State Rankings now feature 170 players from every corner of the Lone Star State, and we're taking the week to present you with some of the most intriguing names that made the list. These midfielders are among the most talented in the state:</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Ward is the top-ranked midfielder in the Rankings and takes fourth place overall in Texas. She plays for Walnut Grove High School and represents [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas'] in the ECNL League at the club level. Ward is a true all-around midfielder, as she's capable of playing different roles for her team and making a big impact in many areas of the game. Her passing is excellent, as she can both operate as a deep-lying playmaker and distribute the ball from the center of the field or find pockets of space further up between the lines and set her teammates up to score chances. She makes good runs on and off the ball through the center and likes to get into the box to finish chances. The midfielder is part of Allen's strong high school team and captains Sting Black in the ECNL League. A defensive midfielder, she has a strong presence in the center of the field, covering a lot of ground, keeping opponents under pressure and winning duels. Gautam also has tremendous quality in possession, dribbling her way out of pressure, passing the ball intelligently and helping her team link plays. The midfielder plays for Seven Lakes High School and is part of HTX in the Girls Academy League at the club level. An attacking midfielder, Felczak is very creative and reliable offensively. She's excellent at creating space with quick moves in the center of the field and demonstrates excellent vision to distribute the ball and set up attacking plays. Felczak is extremely versatile, too, being capable of playing on the wings and in other midfield spots, and offers solid contributions on defense with her high-intensity game.</p>   <p><strong><a href="https://sportsrecruits.com/athlete/anna_felczak?video=6610219">Highlights</a></strong></p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Collier made it into our Rankings, appearing in 34th place among the midfielders and occupying the 108th overall position. She plays high school ball with Alamo Heights and is part of the [program_tooltip program_id='283457' first='San' last='Antonio City SC'] program at the club level, playing in the Girls Academy League. She's a dynamic wide midfielder who thrives with her ability to make runs on the wings, beat defenders off the dribble and deliver accurate final passes and crosses. Collier also does a good job of engaging in combination plays and moves very well off the ball. An attacking midfielder, she stands out both when it comes to setting up plays and finishing chances, showing great presence and positioning inside the penalty box. Fossler navigates crowded areas of the field efficiently thanks to her creative dribbling and superior passing vision, and is a real goalscoring threat in long-distance shots.</p>     <p></p>
