Four Players Who Will Join FC Dallas in 2026-2027

<p>The MLS Next League is currently in the offseason after the 2025-2026 champions were determined in Salt Lake City, Utah, late last month.</p>   <p>It's still a busy period of the year, with clubs dropping and adding players to their rosters in their attempt to secure the services of the most talented prospects in the country and be even more competitive in the upcoming season.</p>   <p>As the top of the boys' youth soccer pyramid, MLS Academies have the most leverage when it comes to attracting young players to their programs, and the three located in Texas have been active so far, adding some talented names to their squads.</p>   <p>During this week, we're presenting some of the new additions to each of them, and today we look into [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas']' additions:</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Ray played for [program_tooltip program_id='283612' first='Austin' last='FC'] and [program_tooltip program_id='349106' first='Sonny' last='G Academy'] in the last MLS Next League season and will join [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas']' U15 team in 2026-2027. A forward, he will strengthen the team's offense with his well-rounded game and goalscoring ability. With good size and a rare ability to convert chances, Ray can be the focal point of the team's offense, doing a good job of getting to the end of long passes and keeping opposing backlines under pressure with his runs in behind - he also stands out for his positioning inside the box. The talented forward can also operate a little bit deeper, playing underneath a striker, using his mobility to make runs and his ability to dribble in tight spaces to make an impact in the team's playmaking.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram wp-block-embed-instagram"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://www.instagram.com/p/DWkQTs1jIuE/?img_index=1 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Kirkes joins from Oklahoma's Tulsa Greenwood SC in the MLS Next League and will be another option for [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas']' U16 team in the upcoming season. A center back with remarkable physical tools and solid reading of the game, he is very reliable defensively. Kirkes uses his big frame well to defend the penalty box and is very firm and precise on the tackle, often performing key last-second stops. When defending higher, he makes the most of his ability to read the game to identify the best moments to step up and intercept passes. A leader in his former team, the center back is calm and composed on the ball and adds to the buildup with reliable passing.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-instagram wp-block-embed-instagram"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://www.instagram.com/p/DXSkWhBj1SK/?img_index=1 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Ros spent the last few seasons with Arizona's Barca Residence Academy in the MLS Next League and will probably be an option for [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas']' U17 and U19 teams. He's a central midfielder, but has great flexibility with his game, being capable of playing a little bit deeper, in front of the team's backline, or as a true attacking midfielder. One of the most sought-after players who weren't at an MLS academy last season, he's among the best in the country with his impressive ability on the ball. Ross handles pressure extremely well, using quick moves to get opponents out of the way and keeping his passing vision clear. A winger with fantastic footwork and athleticism, he's a threat out wide, especially when used on the left, where he can cut inside to his preferred right foot. Innocent is very aggressive on the ball and quick with his dribbling, giving opponents very little time to react and attempt to stop him.
