Four Players Who Will Join Houston Dynamo in 2026-2027

A technical and reliable shot-stopper, he earned some well-deserved attention in the second half of last season, taking part in a USYNT ID camp in Georgia and trialing with multiple MLS academies. El-Demerdash combines superior athleticism and great positioning between the posts, making it very difficult to score at. A lefty, he's very skilled on the ball and versatile, being capable of playing as an outside back, a wide midfielder, or more centrally. Hiwiller is a dynamic and technical playmaker who's capable of beating opponents in tight spaces with quick moves and delivering accurate final passes. A creative and dynamic attacking player, he can play more centrally or out wide and stands out for his ability to push the ball upfield with strong runs. Teshome is an excellent dribbler who never seems to run out of moves when it comes to beating opponents and does a good job of absorbing contact when on the ball. He likes to step into the final third to finish chances, too, and has great accuracy with his mid-range and short-range shots. A striker, he's very intelligent with his movement off the ball and is coming from a spectacular season, in which he registered 31 goals and ten assists. Torkin often scores by getting to the end of crosses, but also thrives with his ability to send the ball into the back of the net in different ways, as he's lethal with either foot and his head.
