The importance of attending college ID camps/clinics is paramount to the recruitment process, and it offers players direct observation from college coaches who can provide critical feedback on player strengths, areas of improvement, and overall potential in becoming a collegiate player. As coaches have a network of resources and know coaches in other programs, divisions, and levels, it is quite possible that they could get a recommendation from a coach to another team looking for a player who might be the right fit for them.

The Pacific Women's Soccer program is offering their Pacific Summer ID Clinic on Saturday, 7/25/26. The one-day clinic provides players with an exciting environment and a firsthand experience of the energy and culture driving the program's rise in the West Coast Conference. A quote from the site: “The Tigers are building a reputation for dynamic play, strong team culture, and record-breaking momentum both on the field and in the classroom.”

“This one-day clinic offers ambitious players a chance to train the Tiger way — with high-tempo technical work, competitive small-sided games, and full-field sessions led by our staff. You'll get a genuine feel for our Division I environment, coaching philosophy, and what it takes to be part of a rapidly growing program on the rise.”

I've previously attended one of their previous camps and highlighted a few standout players. Four of the Five players signed on as college commits. Two signed with UOP and the other two with other soccer programs. This is just some inclination of the importance of going to college ID camps and having coaches and scouts see them compete and observe how players carry themselves. Just a side note, when coaches talk about the right fit, this is where they can make their best evaluations and determine if the player checks off on all the boxes. For some fortunate ones, their performance at camp could lead to a very quick offer if the player has the “wow factor.”

I've covered at least three of Rylee's high school matches thus far, and most recently, a second in club competition. One thing present at each outing is that she's a player who is consistently making plays on both ends of the pitch. Although she might start at a winger or forward position, her ability to track back and make defensive stops is a definite strength in her game. In this match, she took on players in 1v1s near the touchline and while making runs in the attacking third. Her precise passing to players making runs into the 18 was well timed and accurately placed. She had a few close shots on goal in the first half that sailed just a bit over or slightly wide of the goal. She made up for it in the second half with a beautiful shot from range while catching the goalkeeper off her line and dipping it below the crossbar. In the most recent evaluation, at the Girls Academy showcase in Norco, CA, she was like “lightning in a bottle.” Her ability to make strong, clean tackles as well as provide instant offense proved to be some of her strongest parts of her game. She's a talented player who is on the Guatemalan U17 national team.
