Forney Girls Soccer has established itself as a consistent powerhouse, reaching the state final in 2026, the state semifinals in 2025, and remaining a regular playoff contender since the program began. Coming off strong middle school seasons in Forney ISD and continued success at the club level, they are preparing to make the transition to high school soccer.   From college-committed leaders to rising ECNL standouts, proven varsity contributors, and an incoming freshman class, Forney's pipeline is clear:   Different paths. Different experiences. One program. One standard. One legacy.   Coach Trisha Williamson is a coach's coach, amassing over 300 wins and taking her team to the Texas state final last season. Aside from her coaching duties, she is also an English teacher at Forney High School. Her commitment to her students, student-athletes, and community goes beyond the classroom and the pitch.   Although they fell short during the penalty shootout, their 28-2 overall record and historic run to the final mean this team cannot be overlooked, as they seem to have reloaded for this upcoming season. This consistency has earned Coach Williamson a DFW Girls Soccer Coach of the Year award. Ever since taking over the reins in 2008, she has consistently led her teams to the top of the division and has recently built the Forney Program into a national powerhouse.   I've followed this team since the previous season and was cheering them on throughout the season.   It will be another exciting season of Jackrabbit soccer for this Texas program, and it will be interesting to see if they can make another epic run to the title match and possibly win it all. They have the talent level to compete at the highest level, a standard of excellence, and a coach who easily mastered the rule of 10 thousand hours of soccer coaching at an elite level.   Player Evaluations:    The versatile player is known for her creative playmaking skills as well as top-level goal scoring. She has previously earned Second Team ECNL All-Conference honors while playing at the forward and midfielder positions. Kalani has given her commitment to play Division 1 college soccer at the University of Denver. She has an average of 0.9 goals per game and has a total of 37 varsity goals scored for Forney High School. Kalani is also a team captain for [program_tooltip program_id='278676' first='Sting' last='Black ECNL']. Her quick reactions, cutting off shooting angles, and commanding the space between the posts are hallmarks of her strong presence as a last defender. Some of her accolades include being named to the Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) Super Elite 6A Team of the Year. She has also helped Forney to back-to-back District Championships (23/24 and 24/25). Cinnamon's Goals Against Average (GAA) is off the charts, as she is ranked as the statistical leader. The Texas A&M-Corpus Christi commitment is poised to have another stellar year. Devyn is one of the Forney team captains. She averaged 1.0 assists per match while on the varsity team and has a combined 24 goals with 27 assists. She was also selected to the Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA) Super Elite Team. The Stephen F. Austin State University commit will play a huge part in the Jackrabbits run to another state playoff appearance. She earned Defender of the Year honors, along with regional and state accolades and recognition from The Dallas Morning News. Brooklynn has been featured by numerous scouting outlets and has gained a reputation as a top emerging talent in Texas' 2028 class. With her popularity soaring, it will be sooner rather than later in which she will ascend as a ranking riser. While playing for DKSC U15 ECNL, she plays the midfield and forward positions. It will be interesting to see how she acclimates to the squad and makes contributions. Kenzie's ability to make quick passes and long passes and put players in scoring positions will be a key part of her game. She will be a player I will be looking forward to seeing get to the next levels.
