Outside Backs Who Delivered at Aggieland Friendship Cup

Despite the upsets, she showed solid potential and interesting tools at the right back position. Tall and athletic, she was very good defensively, winning most of the duels she got into and doing a good job of preventing passes from being played behind her back. Mostly used as a left back, she was very productive and reliable with her strong all-around game, making great plays on both sides of the ball. DeLisle showed excellent defensive instincts and relied on them to intercept passes, win duels and control the space behind her back. She played as a left wingback in the second match, and much of her team's loop-sided victory was built there, with solid contributions from her. Bosworth was very present and efficient offensively, combining with forward [player_tooltip player_id='285899' first='Ava' last='Sadlowski'] to make plays on the left side of her team's attack and send nice crosses into the box. The versatile player spent more time at the left wingback position against San Antonio City and delivered a strong two-way performance for her team. Allowed to push forward, Oldner provided solid offensive contributions, making plays out wide and finding teammates on the opposite side with intelligent and accurate switches. A defender with good size and athleticism, she was very active at the right back spot, combining intensity and quality on the ball. Grochowalski had a constant presence in the attacking half and made good plays on the right, using her ability to quickly cover ground to get to the end line to deliver crosses to her teammates. Playing as a right back, she showed a strong game on the ball and great defensive commitment to make a positive impact and deliver what her team needed from her. When in possession, Medrano was very important for Albion's buildup, using her vision to break the opponent's press with quick, smart passes that allowed her team to move the ball upfield.
