Gonzalez is the top-ranked prospect in our Class of 2030 State Rankings. He plays for the [program_tooltip program_id='283657' first='Houston' last='Dynamo'] Academy in the MLS Next League. A U.S. and Mexican youth international, he's dynamic and creative on the ball and typically plays a big role in the team's offensive system. Gonzalez likes to get on the ball in the center of the field and uses his dribbling skills to beat defenders in tight spaces before darting into the attacking half. The midfielder is also an intelligent passer who often sets his teammates up with first-time passes and is excellent in set pieces, providing great service and firing great shots on goal from distance.

Pastran is ranked second overall and is also second among the midfielders in the class. He plays for FC Dallas Academy in the MLS Next League. A central midfielder, he has a very solid all-around game that allows him to make a big impact in games no matter how they play out. Pastran thrives with his ball control and calm in possession, expertly navigating the center of the field, even when under pressure. He moves very well off the ball and always looks to deliver progressive passes and to get the ball into the final third, and is also capable of stepping in there to finish chances. He's very active off the ball, too, playing defense with remarkable determination.

Balboa appears in fourth place among the midfielders and ranks seventh overall in Texas. He captains [program_tooltip program_id='283612' first='Austin' last='FC'] in the MLS Next League. A defensive midfielder, he controls the pace of the game from the center of the field with his solid and consistent two-way game. Balboa is very active defensively, standing out with his ability to shield the backline and cover ground. He also appears very well in possession and shows excellent vision and quality on the ball, a combination that allows him to play a big role in the team's buildup when he drops near the center backs but also influence the game in the final third with his intelligent passing.

Guerrero is inside the top ten for the midfielders, ranking ninth, and takes 25th place overall in the Class of 2030 in Texas. He features for [program_tooltip program_id='283458' first='San' last='Antonio FC'] in the ECNL League. His game is extremely well-rounded and allows him to play different roles in midfield at a high level. Guerrero is typically at his best when playing as a central midfielder, where he can impact the game on both sides of the ball. A determined defensive player, he is calm and efficient on the ball, helping set up attacking plays from a deeper area of the field. He is also a threat when he steps into the final third because of his ability to progress with the ball and find passes in tight spaces.

Wang is part of our Watchlist. He represents the [program_tooltip program_id='283658' first='Houston' last='Rangers'] in the MLS Next League at the club level and attends Fort Bend Austin High School. An offensive-minded box-to-box midfielder, he stands out for his cleanliness and intelligence on the ball. Wang sees the game very well and doesn't spend much time on the ball, often using smart first-time passes to break the opponents' press and get it to an open teammate. He's very quick with his on-the-ball movement and also offers solid contributions on defense, playing with great determination and working hard to win the ball.
