Five Midfielders to Know From the New Texas 2030 Girls Rankings

<p>After several months of research and scouting, Prep Soccer Texas is proud to release the newest version of its 2030 Girls State Rankings. The Rankings are a step forward from the previous original version, which had all players on a watch list; now the top 60 prospects in the Lone Star State are ranked by potential.</p>   <p>The rankings will continue to be consistently updated so they accurately reflect the progress achieved by players over time and present a clear picture of the Texas landscape, always keeping in mind each prospect's potential to make an impact at the next level.</p>   <ul class="wp-block-list"> <li><strong><a href="https://prepsoccer.com/texas/rankings/girls/2030-rankings/">Texas 2030 Girls State Rankings</a></strong></li> </ul>   <p>The new version of Texas 2030 Girls State Rankings feature 100 players from every corner of the Lone Star State, and we're taking the week to present you with some of the most intriguing names that made the list. These midfielders make big impacts on their teams.</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Taylor is the number one midfielder in the Class of 2030 and ranks second overall in our Rankings. She plays for [program_tooltip program_id='283648' first='FC' last='Dallas'] in the ECNL League and is frequently called up for the USYNT. Taylor is a dynamic and creative attacking player who stands out for her well-diversified skill set, which allows her to have a big role in her team's offense in different ways. Her dribbling is very smooth and unpredictable, and she uses it extremely well to create space when under pressure and to beat defenders when she steps into the attacking half on the ball. She's set to join Plano West's high school and is a standout for Solar SC in the ECNL League at the club level. An attacking midfielder, Walker makes a tremendous impact with her quality on the ball and remarkable vision in the final third. She's capable of finding passes no one else sees, has excellent close control, and her decision-making is always on point. She joined private high school powerhouse Episcopal in the Houston area and plays her club soccer with HTX in the Girls Academy League. Zaccardo typically plays in central midfield, and her ability to keep possession and move the ball under pressure is of great value for her team. Zaccardo is very intelligent with her distribution and does a great job of identifying and executing the best passing options from the center of the field, helping set up dangerous attacking plays.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Brundage was recognized in eighth place among the midfielders in the group and ranks 21st overall after our update. She's part of Klein Cain's high school team and competes in the ECNL League with [program_tooltip program_id='283282' first='Challenge' last='SC'] in the Houston area. A defensive midfielder, Brundage does tremendous work off the ball, using her long legs and impressive mobility to shield the backline and cover ground in the center of the field. She attends Kinkaid High School in Houston and plays with [program_tooltip program_id='283243' first='Albion' last='Hurricanes FC'] in the ECNL League, having recently moved from Rise SC. A defensive midfielder, Echo has a lot of qualities in her defensive game, most notably her excellent positioning, her ability to make moves for the ball at the right time and her consistent work rate.
