About Ayla

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is creative and aggressive, both on and off the ball. I’m a playmaker who’s confident in possession and always looking to create opportunities for my team. Defensively, I stay disciplined and aware, keeping shape in the middle and anticipating plays before they happen.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is centered around positivity, effort, and consistency. I always bring strong energy to the field and want everyone around me to succeed. I focus on giving my all, staying composed, and not overthinking- just trusting the work I’ve put in and playing with confidence.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I'm currently a three year member of my high school's Associated Student Body, serving as freshman and sophomore class president, along with Girls' Sports Commissioner. Additionally, I'm a member of my school's She's The First Club, and Senior Smiles Club. I've received the Magna Cum Laude award my Freshmen and Sophomore year.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve learned how to lead by actually connecting with people- reaching out, listening, and making sure everyone feels included. Through ASB and soccer, I’ve built strong communication and teamwork skills that help me bring people together and get things done.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Tearing my ACL was one of the hardest challenges I’ve faced. It taught me to trust the process and stay disciplined, but more importantly, it gave me a deeper appreciation for the things I have and for the game of soccer itself.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college with strong academics that will open doors for me beyond soccer. I want to be in an environment with a great soccer program and team that truly supports me and helps me grow on and off the field.
