Region 6A: Four teams from east and west make the regional tournament. Analysis: Cosby seems to have a stronghold on the west while Kellam and Landstown will battle it out in the east.
Key upcoming matches: Landstown vs Ocean Lakes, Landstown vs Princess Anne, Kellam vs First Colonial, Kellam vs Kempsville, Western Branch vs Grassfield, and Grassfield vs Smithfield.
West: Cosby 4-0-0, James River 3-1-0, Thomas Dale 3-1-0, Manchester 0-4-0, and Franklin County 0-6-0.
East: Kellam 4-0-0, Landstown 3-0-0, Ocean Lakes 2-1-2. Western Branch 2-4-0, Oscar Smith 0-4-1, and Grassfield 0-4-1.
Region 5A: Eight teams qualify for the regional tournament. Analysis: Defending class 5 state champion Cox has plenty of teams to be concerned with: Kempsville, First Colonial, Hickory, Princess Anne, Indian River, Salem, and Bayside will all look to post results as the season progresses and make a run at the post season.
Key upcoming matches: Bayside vs Cox, Salem vs Ocean Lakes, Indian River vs Granby, Princess Anne vs Hickory, Princess Anne vs Cox, Kempsville vs Deep Creek, and First Colonial vs Jamestown.
Cox 4-0-0, Hickory 4-0-0, Princess Anne, 4-1-0, Indian River 4-1-0, First Colonial 2-1-1, Salem 4-2-0, Bayside 4-2-0, Tallwood 3-2-0, Kempsville 2-2-1, and Green Run 0-2-0.
Region 5B: Six teams qualify for regional play with the top two teams receiving a bye to the semi-finals. Analysis: Early on, Granby, Menchville, and Kecoughtan have posted solid results and remain unbeaten. Nansemond River, Woodside, and Gloucester are also chasing a top six spot.

Region 4A: 10 teams make the regional tournament with the top six receiving a bye to the quarterfinals. Analysis: Seems like a wide-open region with a number of teams looking for top seeding. Deep Creek, Warwick, Jamestown, Smithfield, and Great Bridge all have ambitions to make a run.
Key upcoming matches: Deep Creek vs Indian River, Warwick vs Smithfield, Jamestown vs Warhill, Great Bridge vs Smithfield, Grafton vs Warhill, Kings Fork vs Hickory, Kings Fork vs Deep Creek.
Great Bridge 4-0-1, Deep Creek 5-1-0, Warwick 5-1-0, Jamestown 4-2-0, Kings Fork 3-1-1, Smithfield 3-2-0, Churchland 3-4-0, Grafton 2-3-1, and Denbigh 1-4-2. Manor, Hampton, and Warhill are all winless.
Region 3A: Every team makes region play with the top six receiving a bye to the quarterfinals. Analysis: Defending class 3 state champion Tabb has some quality wins and looks to get healthy. Even with only one win, Lafayette is a dangerous team that is capable of making a post-season run. Colonial Heights and Petersburg are both off to strong starts.
