She has been getting better and better every time I watch her play. Kirby has been on an excellent run with SAT Pro Pathway playing against NWSL competition around the country. The TCU commit has also been training with Bay FC from time to time. Playing with the big girls is not new for her.

Although she hasn’t had the opportunity to play for the Red, White, and Blue, her skills, composure, and commitment to the sport might get her some looks. Maycee was recently featured in COPA’s Talent ID DAY in July as one of the BEST XI.  She had a really good game and made a mark on both ends of the pitch.  Shutting down the attack and scoring on a beautiful run and finish is what makes her standout at some of the highest levels of competition.  The recent TCU (Texas Christian University) commit just finished the NorCal Premier U17 Girls PDP tour against clubs in England.  The impressive 4-0 team finish will be something that will be talked about for some time.  Definitely looking forward to seeing her rise in the rankings as well as seeing her as a USYNT call up sooner rather than later.  I’ve evaluated her on 4 or more occasions and she’s always consistently playing at a high level.  Her speed, lock-down defense, and finishing skills are what sets her apart from the rest. The recent TCU Commit showed great speed and finishing skills. She played primarily in the mid, but excelled as a box-to-box player. On the defensive side, she made clean tackles and made quick passes for counter attacks. She can move up and down the channels and make slashing runs to the box for high percentage scoring opportunities. This is possibly my 4th evaluation of her and I believe she scored in every one of those matches. Maycee is a consistent player and she scored on a beautiful run and finish for the final goal of the match.

Maycee is an explosively fast right winger who uses a mix of her pace and quick dribbling techniques to leave defenders in the dust on the right flank. Her first touches and turns when receiving the ball stand out, as she makes her turns with a high level of control and technique that allows her to already be a step ahead of defenders. Her blistering pace on the wing is a serious problem, making runs in behind that are too quick for defenders to track. She plays with her head up, looking for other teammates to either cross the ball to or scanning the pitch for defenders.

Big time attacking player who has everything needed to thrive at the next level. She scores a ton of goals and forces an insane amount of turnovers with her relentless pressing. She can beat you physically and technically especially on the dribble when she gets going. Power 4 talent who won’t be on the board for very long.

Her speed was on full display. She made attacking runs from the wings as well as diagonal runs to the box. She scored Goal #3 for San Juan, by striking a left footed power shot off of the goal keeper’s hand just inside the 18. Her quick change in direction and precise passes gave her the advantage when running at goal.

Kirby is an extremely talented player with a high motor, an excellent mentality, and a very complete game. Her touch and vision is becoming more polished by the day. She has a powerful shot and fantastic speed to get in behind the defense to get onto through balls. Her most impressive attribute is her ability to defend from the front she is relentless on the press and a handful for any defender trying to build out of the back.

Just a relentless force out there for San Juan today. If you want someone who can press look no further. She wins so many balls off defenders. Will drive into space and wants the ball as close to the opposing goal as possible, which is what this game is. Big fan.
