Covering a ton of ground and showing off her excellent soccer IQ throughout this game. Her defensive angles were precise and her decision making on the ball was excellent.

Guenther’s exceptional understanding of the game allowed her to have a solid performance in a match in which her team was dominated. She played as a defensive midfielder for KC Athletics and it was truly impressive to see how well she moved off the ball, repeatedly popping up in great spots to receive passes and get her teammates out of pressure. Guenther also did a good job of quickly moving the ball forward, on many occasions getting it to a teammate in the attacking half with a one-touch pass. Her intelligence also facilitated her defensive work in the center of the field as was the first to get to second balls almost every time.
