Starting defender for the team last season in MLS Next. He's a very good defender. Tough in the tackle and active in the game. He is always switched on. Barrett shined for his 1v1 defending. He had a game last season when he took the ball off of three attackers in quick succession with hustle play. He does have a bit of overeagerness to his game and will overrun the play at times and get caught out. With more games under his belt, he will adapt to that. The times he was out of position were more glaring too because of the three-back system for SLSG. He has good back-to-the goal play, but he can also turn and face defenders and run down hill in a hurry. He previously played for PA Classics in MLS Next and I believe that is where he was scouted by the MLS Academy. Hines is an attacking midfielder who I have also seen play as a No. 9. He is a tall player for his age group and a physically dominant player in the midfield. He had some outstanding performances last season with PA Classics where he really took over the game for his side. With his long stride, he glided past defenders. His skill on the ball shined in 1v1 situations.
