She's a player with a competitive edge too. She can get drawn out of position tracking runs or lets forwards get in behind her. There is every reason to believe that will improve during this season. She was an ECNL All-Regional League selection during the last club season. It felt like McGinnis was everywhere at times. She uses her body well in the center of the field and knows how to keep defenders on her hip so she can turn away from pressure. She drew some fouls with her ability to shield players, and it helped break pressure for her side. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>McGinnis could improve on her spacing defensively as she can overlap the roles of her fellow midfielders with her activity.
