McGinnis is a midfielder on the SLSG Green 2010/2011 ECNL team. She is a defensive midfielder or a box-to-box midfielder. She has a well-rounded game with the quality to do a bit of everything on the field.
It was hard to deny her impact from game film. It felt like McGinnis was everywhere at times. She uses her body well in the center of the field and knows how to keep defenders on her hip so she can turn away from pressure. She drew some fouls with her ability to shield players, and it helped break pressure for her side.
McGinnis could improve on her spacing defensively as she can overlap the roles of her fellow midfielders with her activity. However, the enthusiasm she shows in that role gives plenty of insight into her winning mentality. She has a bright future in the game.
