McGuire is a key part of the US Soccer Youth National Team program in the 2010 age group. She has solidified her role as a starter with that group. She’s proven her quality consistently with her club team and was named to an ECNL All-American in 2024/2025.
Her best ability is her work ethic. She covers a ton of ground in the game. She’s a non-stop mover. She has the mentality that she is going to outwork her competition in every game and it has served her well so far. As an attacking midfielder, she is a playmaker. She has a great feel for the slip pass – in terms of the weight of the pass and the timing of the pass. She has been a prolific scorer in her role as well.
She is less of a physical imposing figure and more of a tactical brilliant type. She reads the game and gets to the right spots. At the club level, it feels like she can be more demanding in getting the bal from teammates as the orchestrator of the attack for her team.
McGuire is in a club environment that has produced quite a few of the top talents at the youth national team level in the past decade. She looks to be the next in line for that role and why she is considered one of the top talents in the nation in her age group.
