Austin is a new addition to Saint Louis Scott Gallagher and the ECNL. She was previously one of the most decorated players in the Girls Academy (including being a part of the GA National Talent ID invite list). She joined the ECNL powerhouse during this offseason and immediately improves any roster.

Austin can do a bit of everything. She is a center back or a center midfielder. She is a right footed player who delivers a perfect ball from set pieces. She scored a couple of goals during the GA events this summer with her free kicks.

She’s a smooth athlete who can track any forward. She is strong in the tackle and shows great balance in the duel. She has the tools to fit in any style of play and looks like she will one of the players who has the easiest time adjusting to the college game.

Elin Austin Elin Austin 5'9" | D/M Cor Jesu Academy | 2029 State MO plays as a center back for Lou Fusz Athletic G11 GA. Defensively, she is strong into tackles and looks to play close to her opponents. Austin tracks her marks well and is confident stepping out of line to make a challenge.

Off the ball, Elin helps get the back line up the pitch and communicates often. Additionally, Austin showed that she has a strong right foot. All in all, Elin Austin Elin Austin 5'9" | D/M Cor Jesu Academy | 2029 State MO is a confident defender that trusts her back line when stepping out to make a play. She makes the game difficult for forwards that like to drop in between lines.

There were so many worthy candidates from the Lou Fusz squad for a place on the Best XI. Ultimately, there were only two who get a spot on the team from the champions even though they could’ve had an argument for five or more of the spots. Austin, the center back, was one of the players who just put together consistent performance after consistent performance. She was a major reason why Lou Fusz was impossible to beat in Florida.
