The senior was very active in midfield, having a big impact on her team’s attacking plays with her intelligent game. Camin facilitated many plays with smart first-time passes in the center of the field and also had some good runs on the ball through the center of the field that helped Memorial get the ball in the final third. She did very well in following up on a Sadlowski shot that hit the crossbar in the second half, picking up the rebound to score the team’s second goal. Camin was also very determined and present defensively, competing for the ball in the center of the field.

Trinity is a perennial D3 national champion contenders and Camin is a good addition to their future squad. I think it is a good fit and can maybe even be a springboard for Camin to get to the D1 level down the line.

Camin and her Memorial side are entered in the Warrior Bracket and will face Summer Creek in their opening match. She’s the team’s main chance creator and plays a major role for them as a box-to-box midfielder. Camin’s game is extremely well-rounded but what sets her apart is her intelligence, which allows her to make right choices and to pick simpler options over complex ones. She can be very dangerous in the final third with her vision and her ability to shot from distance and is also efficient with her set pieces.

Camin’s versatility and consistency were of great help for Albion during the match. Originally a midfielder, she started the match at right back and did a solid job there. Camin didn’t find many opportunities to push forward, but protected her zone efficiently and took good care of the ball when she had possession. She moved to midfield during the second half and helped her team circulate the ball as they tried to find space to create chances.

Camin enjoyed a stellar season for club and high school last year. She capped it off with a strong showing in Washington during the ECNL postseason. Camin is a box-to-box midfielder who can dominate the game at the youth level. Camin is skillful on the ball and a bullseye shot with either foot. She is a tenacious defender who is not afraid to get stuck into a tackle. She has shown all of the quality to be considered among the top midfielders in the ECNL 08 age group.

Camin and her Albion Hurricanes FC 08 team will play FC Alliance, WNY Flash and Slammers FC in the event. The midfielder is a key cog in the team’s playing system with her passing ability and her intelligent movement of the ball. Don’t think of Camin as a volume chance creator, but instead as a facilitator, who finds smart solutions every time she gets on the ball and who’s an expert on breaking pressure with her vision. She has a good offensive presence too, finishing well from outside the penalty box and doing a solid job in set pieces.
