Youssef and her Sting Dallas Royal 09 team will have SLSG Navy, Match Fit Academy and Kansas City Athletics as their opponents this week. She goes to school in Houston but started playing club for Sting this season, strengthening what was already a stellar squad. A lefty with extraordinaire ball control, she can play multiple roles offensively, offering different options in terms of how to use her. Youssef’s most common position is left winger and she’s really good there, using her endless list of moves to beat defenders off the dribble and create chances. She has a lot of power and precision in her left foot and, because of that and her ability to dribble in tight spaces, can also operate centrally.

Youssef was one of the most-anticipated additions to the Texas high school soccer scene this season and she has been living up to the expectations, playing a big role in a strong Memorial team. She has been mostly used on the left of the team’s attack, where she’s been using her pace and outstanding dribbling skills to go at defenders and create chances. She plays with great intensity and fights for every ball in the attacking half, also working hard to put pressure on defenders when on defense. Because of her ability to dribble in tight spaces and the precision and power of her precious left foot, Youssef can also be used more centrally, closer to goal, where she can be even more lethal.

Youssef became very popular online because of the videos in which she displays her jaw-dropping ball control and now we’ll be able to see what she can do at the high school level as she joins Memorial as a freshman. Because of her quality, expect her to immediately become the team’s offensive centerpiece and the catalyst of their scoring efforts. Youssef’s moves with the ball are nothing short of impressive and she has a vast repertoire to beat defenders. The forward can also fire missiles with her left foot and tends to have a stellar high school career in Texas.

Youssef had a great start to the match, creating chances with her dribbling and attempting shots from distance. A lefty, she was always dangerous when bringing the ball inside from the right and it took a while for FC Dallas’ defenders to figure out how to defend her. She also moved very well without the ball, always finding pockets of space to get on the end of passes. Her intensity dropped a little bit with the team down on the second half, but Youssef was always heavily involved in Challenge’s offensive moves.
