About Olivia

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I like to play possession and take on defenders to create opportunities for both me and my teammates. I have the speed to run onto balls in space and have a great first touch. I prefer to stay wide and exploit the space in corners and pull defenders out of the box in order to create better scoring opportunities, however I can cut into the middle easily as I am proficient with both feet.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a team player through and through. I value my ability to create scoring opportunities for teammates as well as scoring goals myself. I track back defensively and will do anything to win the ball in the air even against opponents with a height advantage. I believe that working hard towards a common goal is the only point of team sports. Team culture is very important to me.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a member of the National Honor Society and I am on the honor roll. I have received the Butch Lee Memorial Scholarship and will be graduating HS with an Engineering/Stem Distinction

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Through my work as a volunteer, I have developed mentorship and leadership skills. I have also had opportunities to work with the under privileged and shared my skills with children from all walks of life. Through my volunteer work at church I have been able to experience teamwork off the field.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I am the child of a single mom and have had to navigate the world in a different way. I have the full support of my mom, and often have had to lean on those in my community and extended family in order to pursue my dreams.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a school with rigorous academics balanced with a competitive team. I have not narrowed it down to location, but I have been told that when you find the right school you will know. I am looking for a great community and an even better team culture with good leadership.
