Kendall Link is a defender for San Diego Surf G10 and played as a center back during this match. Link is tall, confident, and manages her defensive responsibilities well. She has great passing and connects her passes often. Link has the ability to weight passes well and can break lines.

Kendall showed that she has great awareness and checks her shoulder throughout a match. She has great movement and takes the space well when she has it available. Notably, she does well to step up and connect in the attacking half. Link has a strong right foot but showed that she is comfortable playing with her left as well.

Ultimately, Kendall Link did well to showcase her abilities and her strengths. She didn’t have many challenges to make in this match but she did show her confidence on the ball and the difference she can make for her team.

Center Back supreme Link is as solid as they come back there. She won a ton of headers and played some great balls in behind to her teammates against Penn Fusion. She does a great job at shielding the ball when strikers try to dribble past her. She has an amazing sense of where to be positionally. I am sure she will be getting a ton of Division 1 interest in the near future.

I thought Link was outstanding in the first half against Solar. She presents such a unique challenge for the opposition. Surf’s system and style of play is going to dominate the possession aspect of the game. Link will get plenty of touches on the ball because the opposition is forced to bunker. She is capable of punishing the opposition when she has extended time on the ball with her passing – and her ability to put shots on frame from 30 yards out. Defensively, she handled the Solar attack with her expert positioning and timing on tackles.
