Being flexible and willing to play multiple positions makes a player more versatile, and this versatility leads to more time on the pitch. These seven players from Texas show this versatility as they have the ability and willingness to play as a forward and a midfielder.

[player_tooltip player_id='216053' first='Jessiny' last='Aguillon'], Midfielder/Forward, [program_tooltip program_id='283296' first='Classics' last='Elite'], Class of 2026

Aguillon is a player with great lateral quickness and movement, with tremendous stop and start ability. She is very strong and technically gifted to go with it. She is very clever on the ball and incredibly smooth when she makes a move to shake a defender. She loves to attract attention, and then play 1-2 footy when she drops a ball off and continues on an excellent run down the pitch. She can finish from tight angles, she can pull back and drag across goal and score with her right foot and she sends an excellent whipped cross into the box.

[player_tooltip player_id='145066' first='Chloe' last='Bryant'], Forward/Midfiedler, Sting Black, Class of 2025

When Bryant gets going downhill, defenders must thing 'uh-oh'. She gets going and going fast. Bryant has blazing speed, and shows the ability to display that speed from numerous positions. She can out-run pretty much any central defender and if she gets in behind, she has incredible finishing ability. She is not a one-trick pony, either. She can make clever, well-timed runs, she can pull the ball back on to her opposite foot and get a shot off and she can put defenders in a blender. She is a very unique blend of speed, athleticism, skill and desire.

[player_tooltip player_id='209490' first='Blake' last='Goerner'], Forward/Midfiedler, [program_tooltip program_id='283282' first='Challenge' last='SC'], Class of 2026

It is almost as if Goerner were meant to play in the center of the pitch. She's incredibly comfortable there, she roams the midfield looking for a challenge, looking to win the ball and looking to make life hard on opposing players. She shows a willingness to get back and defend, to help win the ball back and transition quickly. She pushes up well and gets involved with her first thought being to move the ball quickly and put her teammates in a position to score. She's a quick, agile physical player who can play in wide positions as well.

[player_tooltip player_id='148769' first='Emeline' last='Holder'], Midfielder/Forward, Sting Black, Class of 2027

Holder has a huge right leg. It is a thing of beauty, when she rips off a shot from distance, and she's not afraid to. She is not just a big right foot, though, as she can score with her left as well. You can pretty much put her anywhere in the midfield and she will thrive and work hard for you. She can even play as a forward and hunt for goals. She puts in a shift as she goes hard from box-to-box. She's very good with the ball at her feet, she moves it quickly and has an advanced understanding of the nuance of the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='26421' first='Alexis' last='Lacombe'], Forward/Midfiedler, [program_tooltip program_id='283243' first='Albion' last='Hurricanes FC'], Class of 2027

Lacombe has a lot of dog in her. She is physical and she will put up a fight for the ball. She's not afraid to go in hard for a challenge or use her body to keep the ball. She's very skilled on the ball as you can see her playing all levels of the midfield when you watch her film, or see her as a very skilled wide forward. Wherever she is, you can tell that she's put in time working on her ball skills. Her footwork, her on-ball movement and her cleverness are signs of long hours put in to get better. One thing she does well is receiving the ball, making herself available, coming to the ball and her touch is excellent. She moves it quickly and then continues to use space in order to be a threat.

[player_tooltip player_id='27040' first='Makenzie' last='Majors'], Forward/Midfiedler, Dallas Texas, Class of 2026

Majors finishes neatly and cooly, showing an ability to remain calm and get it right when things open up for her. She makes excellent runs and puts herself where defenders are not. She's excellent about staying onside, timing her runs perfectly, and then finishing with either foot when the ball find its way to her. She can beat you with speed and power on the outside, or beat you coming through the middle of the pitch as an attacking midfielder with footwork, quickness and agility.

Kylee Vandiver, Forward/Midfiedler, Kernow [program_tooltip program_id='288495' first='Storm' last='FC'], Class of 2027

Vandiver has a gift, and that gift is a knack for where to be and when to be there. She is incredibly stealthy off the ball as she finds unoccupied areas of space and puts herself into the right position to score. When the ball finds her, she can one-time it home with power and precision as the defense has no chance to recover because of how quickly she makes it happen. She's as comfortable with her feet as she is in the air. She's also very good on the ball, whether she's playing as a forward or a No. 10, as she shows great agility to beat defenders, to move in small areas and to create space so she can get a shot off from range. She's a smart, creative and athletic player with great speed and power.

Being flexible and willing to play multiple positions makes a player more versatile, and this versatility leads to more time on the pitch. These seven players from Texas show this versatility as they have the ability and willingness to play as a forward and a midfielder.
