Raymond is a defender on the UFA 08 ECNL team. She is part of the U.S. U16 Girls National Team. She primarily plays as the left center back for her club team. Raymond is the main raiser in the rankings with this update. The confidence she is playing with right now is awesome to watch and makes her one of the players that you just love to watch. Raymond is taking on more with every game. She is better at progressing the ball up the field with it under her control. She is trying different passes. She is learning from these games too. Defensively, she is the best defender in this class by a large margin – and it might only be a matter of time before she is in the conversation for the top spot in the state rankings.

One of the captains of United Futbol Academy 08, Raymond plays a massive role for the team from her center back position. Her presence in the back provides the team with great ability and her coverage frees the midfielders up to push forward and help the attack. Raymond’s defensive ability is truly impressive as she always times her tackles really well and often find ways to win the ball even if her odds don’t look great in a specific play. She’s also very calm and confident on the ball, turning into a ball-playing center back when has team has possession, helping them build out of the back. Strong in the air, Raymond is an offensive threat in set pieces too. She will play in the National Selection Game on Saturday.

Center back left. Right-footed. Really impressive game against Concorde Fire Platinum. She did well defensively. She was active on the ball defender. She pursued the center forward when the opportunity was there and won possession for her team. She is one of the best CB i’ve seen in this class at on-ball defending. She knows when to put in the tackle and how to come away cleanly with the ball. She has the skill and foot speed to dribble out of pressure. She could improve on her long-range passing, but that will come with time. High potential prospect.

A center back with good size and athleticism, but also some really interesting technical skills, she did a good job against a talented Sting Austin 08 team, only conceding a goal from a set piece on Monday. When her team was down, Raymond, who’s a threat with her presence in the penalty box in set pieces, displayed another important role, pushing the team forward with her good passing from the back.
