Seven ECNL RL Standouts from Texas 2027 Rankings

That division has provided quite a few Division I commits from the 2025 and 2026 classes. Based on game film from the start of this season, she has continued to raise the level of her play. Medrano is a wide player (left back, right back, left wing, right wing, etc.) and does well in any of those roles. I think her future at the college level is at left back considering the scarcity of standout left backs, but her versatility will certainly be a selling point for coaches with limited roster space in the future. She is good with both feet and has shown the confidence to use either feet in the right situation. Medrano is a stellar 1v1 defender with speed and tenacity. She is a standout on the track too as a dual sport athlete. The pace translates to the pitch. She has afterburners for when she gets free of a defender and can race to the touchline. She could have a future as a wingback considering her free-running style and willingness to defend for a winger. Goen impressed me with her skill on the ball as well. She was confident to receive the ball under pressure and dribble through traffic in recent games. She is one of the top performers on the Lonestar 09 team. She plays outside back - there does to seem to be some traits to suggest she could transition to a center back role in the future. For now, Billick is being utilized as a weapon as a two-way player. She is a very good two-way player. She plays with her head up in possession and makes good decisions on the ball. She quickly scans and plays accurate passes to her teammates. As a defender, she is a good 1v1 defender who can put in a good slide tackle. She is an outstanding shot-stopper. Athletic, quick reflexes, and strong hands, Jones has the key traits to be a top player in the position. She could improve on her distribution. Her drop kicks can be inconsistent. Improving that aspect of her game will get on the radar of some big time programs because Jones is among the best in this class at providing the game-deciding save. She started the season in fine form with a pair of assists against Classics Elite. She is right footed, but good with either foot. She has an impressive engine and covers a ton of ground during the game. She is a more attack-minded midfielder. Ramirez is a talented playmaker in the final third. She is a powerful dribbler and creates chances with her body feints and change of pace. She likes to play as the last line of defense and does well in reading the play to get to the right spot to support her teammates. She is a determined player who chases down chances and creates opportunities for herself. The dogged effort and unrelenting pressure has contributed to a fast start to the season for the forward.
