Medrano and Fulshear were allocated in the Warrior Bracket and will play Cedar Park in their first match. She’s a versatile player, who can contribute in central defense and at left back. Because she’s not very tall or physical, Medrano relies on her ability to read the game and her quickness to make stops and she’s very efficient with it, anticipating moves and reacting quickly to get to the ball first. She’s very calm and efficient on the ball and strongly supports the team’s buildup with her line-breaking passes.

Medrano was named to the U15 All-Regional League – Texas team for her stellar play last season. Based on game film from the start of this season, she has continued to raise the level of her play. Medrano is a wide player (left back, right back, left wing, right wing, etc.) and does well in any of those roles. I think her future at the college level is at left back considering the scarcity of standout left backs, but her versatility will certainly be a selling point for coaches with limited roster space in the future. She is good with both feet and has shown the confidence to use either feet in the right situation. Medrano is a stellar 1v1 defender with speed and tenacity. She might be too low in this ranking as she continues to show her quality consistently during the club season.
