Guilherme Torres | Prep Soccer Scout
Playing on the left wing, Corcoran was heavily involved in Albion’s offensive efforts, contributing to half of the team’s six goals. Very crafty and creative with her dribbling, she was dangerous every time she got on the ball, beating Challenge defenders with relative ease. Corcoran explored the space out wide very well, consistently getting to the endline and registering two assists with accurate crosses. She also got a goal by stepping into the penalty box and following up on a shot to pick the rebound and score. The winger also demonstrated strong tactical discipline, tracking back and playing defense with energy even after her team had a big lead in the second half.

Corcoran had an excellent performance for Albion, scoring three goals and being a consistent threat out wide for them. She spent time on both wings and had no trouble beating her defender, using creative moves and benefiting from her ability to use both feet very well to make it past them. Combining pace and excellent dribbling skills, she was a handful and, besides getting a hat-trick, also generated several goal-scoring opportunities for her teammates. Corcoran did a great job of appearing in the penalty box to finish chances and scored two goals in well-placed shots from the edge of the box and another one with an excellent header.

Albion’s goalscorer in the match, Corcoran was consistently dangerous on the left side of their attack. The winger was very strong in 1v1 situations, using her pace and dribbling skills to beat defenders and make plays out wide. Corcoran also did a good job of coming inside on some occasions, getting on the ball with her back to the goal and making turns or combining with teammates. She did a great job of staying onside in the play in which she scored, and finished it extremely well, putting power and precision into her shot.

Corcoran was with the Albion Hurricanes FC team that secured one win and two losses in three days of action in Dallas. I followed their opening match and only victory, a 1-0 triumph over Eclipse Select, and she was one of the key pieces of their offense. Playing mostly on the left side of the team’s attack, Corcoran had great moments, using her pace and dribbling skills to make it past defenders and get to the end line. She also used her body well to shield the ball and make turns when operating in tight spaces and was very difficult to stop when she had possession. Corcoran also did a great job of taking corner kicks from the right side, sending the ball toward the goal and creating problems for opposing defenders to clear it.

Corcoran was on fire on the left side of Albion Hurricanes FC’s attack against GSA. She created chance after chance with her runs down the flank and sent several dangerous crosses inside the penalty box – she was very intentional with her crosses, looking to the box first to try to find a teammate. Corcoran was very difficult to be stopped in her runs because of her ability to change directions and shield the ball. She also did a very good job of coming inside when the play was developing and getting on the end of crosses to finish.

Corcoran was the MVP in Katy’s victory at the I-10 Shootout back in January. A lefty, she’s very skilled on the ball and has been playing on the left side of the team’s attack. Corcoran has got a ton of moves to beat opponents off the dribble and is very difficult to defend because she can operate in tight spaces and is also very good when she has room to push forward, combininig great pace and an interesting ability to shield the ball with her body. Primarily a winger, she has good presence inside the penalty box and finishes well with either foot.

Corcoran is a left winger for AHFC 09. She previously played for Houston Dash. She’s been a big addition to her ECNL side this season. She’s provided goals and assists in key moments through the first two months of the season. The key part of Corcoran’s game is that she makes an impact in the final third. She knows where to be and she has finisher’s instincts when she has a chance on goal.
