NCHSAA Playoffs Best Players Round One: Part 4

Whether it be providing defensive or offensive support, he completes his task properly. When his team is not in possession, he has the aggression to get the ball back regardless if it's near his own box or the opponent's. He's very physical too, outmuscling anyone who comes near him. His presence in any facet of the match is crucial for his team, offering a helping hand in whatever way possible. Unlike Tre before though, Eduardo is stronger in attack than defense. His ability to give his team width is crucial in creating space in the channels. He doesn't just give a wide option, but he manages to keep his width too. Playing so wide comes easy to him also because of how good he is on either foot. When he receives the ball, he controls it fantastically which makes him a great target up front. He navigates tight spaces easier than most strikers do, which makes for a nightmare for the defenders. His awareness is another very useful aspect of his game. He can win the ball with the slightest heavy touch of the opposing players. A short lapse of attention in the opponent leads to Ibra creating or finishing a chance out of seemingly nowhere. His determination to press high up the pitch even without the lapse of attention is another plus to his game. He keeps the defenders on their feet at all times. Not only does he keep the defenders in check, but he does so for his team as well. His movement in between defenders is crucial in finalizing plays, whether the play ends in a goal or not. Not only is his ability to find space in important spaces off the ball crucial but so is his change of direction when he receives it. Having already received the ball in space he created, he also manages to create more space with his control. In the box, he has wonderful composure that leads to high output. A player who understands how to play to the strengths of his teammates, Brenden makes his team both play and think progressively. He moves to where the play is in order to circulate the ball more effectively. When he receives the ball in space, he always looks to play the ball forward.
