About Dante
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
Confident center back and comfortable with both feet. I like to find space and make an offensive move when I can but I am also very comfortable building out of the back. One of my strengths is not shying away from the ball or the play and I am also dangerous on set pieces in the air. Although I played three center backs across the back, most of my experience has been a 4 back scenario.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I am a quiet leader and prefer to lead by action and not too much into the drama but I support my teammates with all the personality traits they have. My personality enjoys subtle humor and I am loyal to my friends and family.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I was in Band up until last year and participated in all of the band activities as a 1st part trumpet player. I also joined DECA recently and will be participating in local events.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I have a job at the GAP and have gained a lot of skill sets in communication, customer satisfaction, cashier work, as well as support form the back.
I have volunteered for many activities such as local 5Ks and the senior citizen house. I believe that most coaches are looking for the flashy personality for leadership but I am there backing them up when needed.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
One of the challenges was deciding to do the unpopular thing by switching from HS soccer in my freshman year to track and field. I gained a ton of experience in running and lettered in a sport in my freshman year rather than being placed on the "C" team because of a philosophy. The coach and players grew to respect my decision and I played Varsity and became MVP defense the following year.
What type of college are you looking for?
I would like to play at the highest level for a program that believes in what I can do for me and for the team.
