The 2024 year will officially come to an end for the Texas teams that compete in the ECNL Girls Club soccer league this weekend, with the year-ending National Event in St. Louis, Missouri, set to take place from December 12-15.

It's going to be a huge showcase, with four age groups and as many as 246 teams from the entire country competing across the four venues. There will be 14 teams from Texas representing the Lone Star State in Missouri, with Albion Hurricanes FC, Challenge SC, Dallas Texans, Sting Austina and Sting Royal making the trip to get some competition before 2025 arrives.

There will be plenty of talented players from the Lone Star State to watch this weekend and I am listing a few in the days before the event. As we get to the last position, this time we're going to take a look at some dangerous forwards from Texas:

Edwards will be one of the offensive weapons for Sting Royal 10 when they play Philadelphia Ukrainian Nationals, PDA Blue and FC Stars White. A dynamic and intense player, she is particularly impactful when she comes off the bench, playing against defenders with heavy legs. Edward is pacey and very aggressive on the ball, looking to beat defenders and progress the ball at every opportunity she has. She can be very dangerous out wide, but can also be a threat more centrally, doing an excellent job of protecting the ball, staying on her feet after challenges and finding interesting passes in behind the opposing backline.

Hernandez is a key piece for her Challenge SC 09 team, which will be tested against Rockford Raptors, Internationals SC and NC Courage this weekend in St. Louis. She has a lot of weight in the team's offensive attempts, playing centrally as either a second forward or an attacking midfielder. Hernandez's runs through the middle often result in Challenge's most dangerous opportunities as she's able to dribble the ball very efficiently. Very technical, she's a threat in the final third with her ability to pass and finish chances, but also contributes defensively, putting pressure on opposing defenders and tracking back to help her team defend.

The talented Millin will lead the line for Sting Austin 07 against Sporting Blue Valley, Florida Krush and Match Fit Academy. Her relentless and intelligent movement up top helps create space for herself and her teammates, keeping opposing defenders on their toes. Millin is also a quick thinker, who consistently uses her first touch to beat defenders or, at least, get a head start over them in the final third. She's also very dangerous when engaging in combination plays with her teammates and moving into unprotected areas of the field to get the ball back.
