Lockdown Texas Center Backs at ECNL Florida

He's a very physical defender, who dominates in the air and is very tough to get by around and inside the penalty box. Severson also does a very good job of defending in space as he protects the area behind him very efficiently, reading passing lanes and cutting corners to get to the ball first. He typically plays as a right-sided center back and is very efficient when he has to step up and cover his teammates higher up in the field or in wider areas. Bates does a very good job of putting pressure on opposing attackers and forcing them to make rushed decisions or into difficult plays. He's a physical, no-nonsense center back, who gives the team the stability it needs to push forward. Lowe uses his physicality extremely well to dominate the penalty box, but is also mobile and intelligent enough to defend in space when needed.
