Shapiro has committed to playing college soccer next season at the University of Washington (Missouri). Her commitment is interesting because although she just finished helping Whitman win the Maryland State 4A Championship (she actually scored in the final) she will be going to Washington to play goalkeeper. As a goalkeeper she has excellent footwork and can make decisive clears in the box.
