Rankings Analysis: Five 2027s scouts must know from Colorado

The uncertainty in the college soccer recruiting landscape with roster limits and additional years of eligibility is going to make for some tricky decisions for coaches (and players). Even with that unknown on the horizon, there is quite a bit of talent that is undeniable in Colorado in this 2027 class.   Check out the scouting report on five of those elite talents to know below.    Kirchoffner is a forward on the [program_tooltip program_id='279938' first='Colorado' last='Rapids'] 09 ECNL team. She plays as a striker in a 4-4-2 formation. She rarely comes off the field for her side. She's good on the ball with the ability to hold off defenders with her strength. She has the pace to get in behind the defense. Kirchoffner often operates against multiple defenders and has found success at the ECNL level even with the attention of most of the defense on her. Kirchoffner's ability to finish while under pressure from the opposition is one of the best parts of her game. She gets off shots while off-balance. She is the top ranked new player to this rankings update.     Murphy is a forward/midfielder on the [program_tooltip program_id='281473' first='Colorado' last='Rush'] 09 ECNL team. She has been a standout this season at the club level. Murphy stood out from game film with her ability to play with her head up. She makes good decisions on the ball and never rushes an action under pressure. Murphy's skill shows up with her ball control and quality on the ball. Her soccer intelligence also shines in her movement off the ball. Murphy has emerged as a forward scouts should know from this class.     Rudden is a midfielder on the [program_tooltip program_id='281473' first='Colorado' last='Rush'] 09 ECNL team. She was recently called into the US Soccer Talent ID Center event. Rudden is a defensive midfielder who has a well-rounded game. Her technical quality is her strongest part of her game. She's clean on the ball and has the quality to advance the ball up the field on the dribble. She's a good passer with excellent vision. Rudden is strong in the tackle. She's got the trademarks of a player who will be impossible to take off the field at the next level.     Hangman is a left center back on the Real Colorado Athletico 08 ECNL team. She is a standout defender for her team. Scrappy in the tackle and strong in the duel, Hagemen might be one of the most over-the-looked prospects in this group. She's not the most imposing in physical attributes, but she imposes her will on the game with her excellent defensive technique and tenacity.     It's no surprise that O'Connor is part of the US Soccer Talent ID events lately. Her play this season has been terrific. Smart, skillful, and determined, she possesses the traits to be an immediate impact player at the next level. O'Connor's recent standout play at the showcase events have shown she can compete and shine against the best in the country on the stage in front of the most eyes.
