Hope is a center midfielder – box-to-box type with some qualities for a defensive midfielder. She stood out from game film in how she was always adjusting her body to open up to the field before receiving the ball. A lot of Hope’s success on the ECNL field comes from the work she does off the ball as she is constantly make small adjustments to either change the passing angle for a teammate or move her position so she can make a better pass once she receives the ball. The subtle quality of her game does not jump off the screen in highlights on even game film. It takes a while to notice, but her soccer smarts are there to suggest she has a future at the next level.
