Expert Analysis
JR Eskilson | Prep Soccer Scout
The So Cal Blues star and Youth National Team player stole the show in Arizona from the right back spot. Playing Earl at outside back almost seems unfair. She was excellent against XF Academy on the final day. There was a moment in the first half when she received a ball on the wing against the opposing winger and Earl took her first touch around the defender and put her on the ground with the move. She offers that quality on the ball along with excellent defensive instincts and elite pace.

Earl is a winger on the So Cal Blues 2011 ECNL team. She is part of the US Youth National Team in the 2011 age group. She’s a focal point of the So Cal Blues attack. She has the quality to win the duel on the dribble and create an advantage on her side of the field – she typically plays right wing. She also has the ability to get in behind the defense with her pace. Her off-the-ball movement is the best among the wingers in this class. Earl’s stand out quality is the way she pushes the limit to find advantages. She is the type of winger who will gamble that her teammates win the 50/50 ball and already starts heading toward goal before they gain possession. She’s also the type of dribbler who puts the ball just far enough away from her that it baits the defender into the tackle and then she can utilize her quickness to get to the ball first and get around the defender. She’s a very clever winger who is well-coached to the nuisances of the position.
