About Brooklyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm a box-to-box midfielder who loves competing at the highest level. As a 6/8, I work hard to be effective on both offense and defense, whether I'm winning tackles, switching the field, or taking set pieces. I'm drawn to the split-second decisions, physical challenge, and reading the game.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I thrive in competitive environments and value both hard work and balance. I've stayed with my local club since I was 5 years old because I value great coaching, long-lasting friendships, and the balance it gives me for school and family time. The same skills that help me as a captain and bring teammates together are what make me curious about how athletes and teams can perform their best.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I've been captain of my club team for three seasons, which has taught me a lot about leadership on and off the field. Playing with Surf Select's national and regional teams, competing at Gothia Cup with FCNE, and attending the US Youth Soccer ID Camp showed me I can compete at the next level. At Polytechnic School, I made varsity as a freshman (class of 2029).

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a program that plays technical, smart soccer and pushes its players to be their best. I care just as much about my academics - as of now, I want to study psychology or maybe sports psychology. I bring tactical awareness, work rate, versatility, and leadership, and I'm ready to compete and contribute from day one.

Posin is a midfielder on the LA Surf 2011 Girls Academy team. She was part of the Girls Academy Southwest Talent ID event last season. She plays as a defensive midfielder for her club team. She is like a coach on the field – constant communication and organization from the leader of the team on the pitch. Posin is an excellent passer – such a pure striker of the ball. She plays with her head up and picks out teammates with a range of passing. She’s shown the quality to be considered among the best in her position.
