Girls College Commitment Scout Grades Chapter 39

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Congratulations to all who have made their commitments. Now it's time for a scout grade. Some will be happy, others might be pissed off and eager to prove me wrong.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I have to give a big shout out to @ImYouthSoccer Instagram page for keeping up with these names flying off the board. Incredible work.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It is all happening so fast this year. 2026 &amp; 2027's are making their verbal commitments to different schools. I'd like to remind everyone that verbal commitments are not official until a letter of intent is signed. Players &amp; Programs flip their verbal commitments all the time throughout this process.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's a very interesting time in American Youth Women's Soccer, as players seem to be more eager to commit to schools than in past years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It's a fascinating system where kids can commit their futures to a program a whole 2 years before they step on campus. I will be giving out grades to recent commitments. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Please keep in mind if you are reading this and you didn't get the grade you wanted. If you have committed to play at a Division 1, 2 or 3 soccer program you are a great soccer player. Only 7% of high schoolers do what you have the opportunity to do. These grades are based on overall fit, style of play/positional need of that particular program, how the program is performing and if I believe the commitment will last 4-5 years.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I also encourage players to make their highlight reels easy to access for scouts to evaluate on their social media platforms. A Beadling product and top 40 Pennsylvania talent is headed to a program who is having a fantastic season thus far. The Dukes are 9-3-1 and if current form continues could be looking at an NCAA Tournament bid. She is an SC Del Sol product who plays primarily as a midfielder. The wildcats have had a good year thus far at 7-6-0 and just picked up a great local talent to their 2027 stable. Brown is a First Team All City selection in high school and shows excellent technical ability on her film. Her passing really stood out to me as a strength of hers. She is a defensive midfielder who has definitely grown since this profile was made as she stands more at about 5'8 than 5'5. She is a top 20 talent out of New York and plays with the NYSC youth academy. Covers a lot of ground and is very reliable in possession. The Stags have been excellent this season thus far sitting at 10-1-2 and looking to make some noise in the NCAA Tournament. Really good shooter and has a candid ability to create a half a yard of space. Top 40 New York talent is staying in state to continue her career. I think she has the potential to be a day 1 contributor. She is a Florida Kraze Krush talent as well as a Nicaragua International. The Bears have a knack for finding hidden gems and is enjoying a good run of success this season at 7-5-2. Da Silva has flipped her commitment from UC Riverside to St Mary's University and I think it is a big upgrade for the LAFC talent. She has a big time shot from distance, a really fun highlight reel to watch. Anderson is Florida Kraze Krush talent that must be a top player if Arkansas wants her. The Razorbacks are an absolute talent factory. The Broncos are having an off year by their standards at 4-5-2 but you have to assume that's the exception and not the rule with such a storied and successful program. Kennedy is a tough defensive midfielder who is very clean in possession. She fits the style of how Santa Clara like to play.
